ZPPSU - Office of Culture and Arts proudly participated in the ASEAN 59th Founding Anniversary celebration organised by CHED IX and hosted by Western Mindanao State University on 18 September 2026. Our delegation presented a curated program of cultural performances that highlighted the rich heritage and artistic traditions of the Zamboanga Peninsula, reinforcing the spirit of regional cooperation and mutual understanding that ASEAN embodies.

The performance showcased traditional music and choreography, executed with technical precision and heartfelt expression by our students and cultural practitioners. We extend our gratitude to Western Mindanao State University for hosting this significant commemoration, to the event organizers for their exemplary coordination, and to the community members whose support made our participation possible.

ZPPSU OCA remains committed to promoting cultural diplomacy and fostering intercultural dialogue through the performing arts.

The Office of Culture and Arts of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University has reached a significant milestone in its commitment to heritage and creative excellence. On September 2, 2026, the university was officially awarded a Certificate of Accreditation by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in Intramuros, Manila.

This accreditation serves as formal proof of the university's eligibility as an official NCCA proponent. By complying with the stringent documentary requirements set forth by NCCA Board Resolution No. 2017-265, ZPPSU has solidified its position as a government agency capable of leading national cultural projects. This recognition, signed by NCCA Chairman and Executive Director Eric B. Zerrudo, PhD, marks a new chapter for the institution’s artistic endeavors.

While the certificate is issued to the university, this achievement is a direct victory for the Office of Culture and Arts, Under the dedicated leadership of Ms. Ma. Flor Jessamine Andajao, the Office has worked tirelessly to align its programs with national standards.

ZPPSU is now better positioned to secure funding and support for projects that preserve and promote the rich cultural tapestry of the Zamboanga Peninsula. This milestone not only honors the hard work of the faculty and staff but also provides the student body with expanded opportunities to showcase their talents on a larger stage.

Congratulations to Ms. Ma. Flor Jessamine Andajao and the entire ZPPSU community for this prestigious achievement. Your dedication to the arts continues to bring pride to the region and the nation.
