A team from the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) conducted a Zero Visit inspection at NIMS Medical Complex, Abbottabad, (NIMS College of Medical Imaging Sciences/ NIMS College of Nursing & Midwifery) for the accreditation review of the BSR and BSN programs, as part of the national accreditation process for Allied Health Professional education.
The AHPC visiting team was warmly welcomed by Mr. Umer Aziz Khan, Principal, School of Medical Imaging, NIMS; Dr. Fahad Aziz Khan, Director, School of Nursing and Midwifery, NIMS; Mr. Dawlat Shah; and Dr. Wajeeha Saeed, Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), along with faculty members and administrative staff.
The AHPC Zero Visit Team comprised Prof. Dr. Sadiq Noor Khan, Head, Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, University of Haripur; Dr. Abdul Jabbar; and Mr. Shah Fahad, members of the AHPC Zero Visit Inspection Team.
During the visit, a comprehensive presentation was delivered by Mr. Umer Aziz Khan, Principal School of Medical Imaging institutional representatives highlighting the introduction of NIMS Medical Complex, academic vision and mission, infrastructure, Allied Health programs, teaching and administrative staff, clinical training arrangements, and the institutionβs commitment to quality education.
The AHPC team visited the Quality Enhancement Cell, library, classrooms, laboratories, skills lab, anatomy museum, and computer labs, and reviewed academic and support facilities. The team provided valuable observations and constructive feedback aimed at further strengthening academic quality, compliance with accreditation standards, and continuous institutional improvement.
The visit concluded with a comprehensive tour of NIMS Medical Complex facilities by the council members, during which they expressed appreciation for the infrastructure, available resources, and the strong commitment to academic excellence demonstrated by the institution.
This Zero Visit marks a significant step toward strengthening quality assurance mechanisms and is expected to contribute positively to enhancing the standards of Allied Health education and professional practice in Pakistan. NIMS Medical Complex extends sincere gratitude to the AHPC team for their guidance, support, and valuable recommendations.
