On 4th May 2026, the Department of Microbiology Abbottabad University of Science and Technology organized a scientific exhibition " Micro Expo 2026,"
This expo included the posters , stalls and scientific models based on innovative research of the BS, MPhil and PhD students of Microbiology.
The delegates of the sister universities in the region, affiliated colleges and the schools also attended the expo.
The Vice Chancellor AUST Prof Dr Tahir Irfan inagurated the expo and appreciated the HoD Microbiology and his team for organizing a successful event. He welcomed and emphasized the latest research in the field of Microbiology.
He furthur assured to continue his support and cooperation to uplift the innovative and impactful research in the field of Microbiology.
Dr Ayub jadoon Hod Microbiology welcomed and thanked worthy Vice Chancellor for his magnificent patronage in the field of Science and Technology.
HoD Microbiology also thanked all the delagates and appreciated the students and organizers for holding a dynamic and highly informative academic event

Abbotabad University of Science and Technology in collaboration with Anti Narcotics Force organized a Special Awareness Session and Interactive Dialogue on “Building a Drug-Free Pakistan” at Orish Hall, AUST.
Brigadier Mazhar Hussain, Regional Directorate Commander ANF KP, attended the event as Chief Guest and highlighted the importance of collective efforts against drug abuse. The Vice Chancellor of AUST also addressed the participants and emphasized the university’s commitment to creating a healthy and drug-free academic environment.
The session included an interactive question-and-answer segment where students and faculty actively participated. Souvenirs were exchanged between the university administration and ANF representatives at the conclusion of the event.
The program ended with a renewed commitment to promote awareness and work collectively for a safer and healthier Pakistan.

A friendly cricket match was played between Abbottabad University of Science and Technology(AUST) and Abbottabad Police to promote a culture of support, harmony and positive engagement among students and law enforcement.
Assistant Commissioner Mr. Ifrasiyab zubair Hundal joined the match alongside SP Cantt Mr. Ali Hamza Butt, DSP Cantt Mr. Sardar Tahir Saleem, DSP Headquarters Mr.Nazeer Khan, DSP Havelian Mr. Siraj Khan and other respected officers, who were warmly welcomed by the university administration, faculty and students.
The match reflected the spirit of unity, teamwork and community partnership. AUST extends heartfelt thanks to the Police Department for their participation and appreciates their continued support in encouraging healthy and positive activities among the student community. 🏏✨

کھیل اور کھلاڑی کے فروغ،کھیل کے میدان کو آباد رکھنے کے لیے ایبٹ آباد پولیس اور ایبٹ آباد یونیورسٹی آف سائنس اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی کے درمیان مثالی اور دوستانہ کرکٹ میچ کا انعقاد کیا گیا محکمہ پولیس کے جانب سے اسسٹنٹ کمشنر افراسیاب سندل،ایس پی کینٹ حمزہ بٹ،ڈی ایس پی حویلیاں سراج خان ،ڈی ایس پی کینٹ سردار طاہر سلیم،ساجد نذیراور دیگر نے حصہ لیا جبکہ ایبٹ آباد یونیورسٹی کی جانب سے فکیلٹی ممبران اور ایڈمنسٹریشن کی جانب سے ہیڈ مائیکرو بیالوجی ڈاکٹر ایوب جدون ،اجمل خان ،ایڈمن آفیسر عدیل خان،ہیڈ ایم ایل ٹی بلال احمد ٹرانسپورٹ سے حنیف قریشی و یگر دلچسپ میچ کا حصہ بنے اس موقع پریونیورسٹی یوتھ ڈیویلپمنٹ سنٹر سے منسلک ڈائریکٹر قاضی خرم شہزاد اور طلباء نے بہترین خدمات فراہم کیں دوستانہ میچ کا مقصد نوجوانوں کو کیھل کے میدان کی طرف راغب کرنا تھا جس سے منشیات اور جرائم میں کمی واقع ہوگی کیونکہ جس قوم کے نوجوان کھیل کے میدان کو آباد رکھتے ہیں وہاں منشیات اور دیگر جرائم کا خاتمہ ہوتا ہے ایبٹ آباد یونیورسٹی انتظامیہ نے محکمہ پولیس کا ایبٹ یونیورسٹی آمد اور دلچسپ میچ کے لیے وقت نکالنے پر شکریہ ادا کیا یونیوسٹی کے اس امر کو محکمہ پولیس کی جانب سے سراہا گیا۔میڈیا سیل خاور حمید

16th GSC meeting/ synopsis defense of the department of Microbiology was conducted today in ORIC hall . The approval of the synopsis of 14 MPhil students was accorded. Similarly the names of supervisors and co supervisors were also finalized. Madam Syeda Asma Bano Chairperson department of Microbiology UoH was an external member .
The recommendations of GSC are now have been sent to ASRB for furthur authentification which is going to be held on Thursday 14th May, 2026 under the Chairmanship of Pro Dr Tahir Irfan Khan worthy Vice Chancellor AUST.
At the end Dr Ayub jadoon Head department of Microbiology thanked the members and the students.

Under the Management of ORIC, Abbottabad University of Science & Technology in continuation of the diversified scientific research based lectures series, today Dr hazrat Ali from the Physics department and Dr Rabia from Maths presented their research in ORIC Hall.
Vice Chancellor AUST Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan Chaired the session.
