Dr. Munazza Zahra, Assistant Professor at Women University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Bagh, delivered a keynote speech at the 2026 Dili ICPM – International Conference of Project Management, held in Timor-Leste in May 2026.

She participated alongside international keynote speakers from the United Kingdom, India, Malaysia, and Spain, representing Pakistan at the global academic forum.

During her keynote address, Dr. Munazza Zahra discussed Pakistan’s AI Policy 2025, highlighting its six strategic pillars, ethical governance framework, and the emerging opportunities, challenges, and risks related to the future of Artificial Intelligence in Pakistan.

ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف اکنامکس، جامعہ خواتین آزاد جموں و کشمیر باغ کی 6 طالبات نے کامیابی کے ساتھ اپنے ایم فل مقالہ جات کا دفاع مکمل کیا۔ یہ لمحہ طالبات، اساتذہ اور پورے شعبہ کے لیے نہایت خوشی اور فخر کا باعث ہے۔

بیرونی ممتحن کے طور پر کشمیر انسٹیٹیوٹ آف اکنامکس، جامعہ آزاد جموں و کشمیر مظفرآباد سے ڈاکٹر یحییٰ قریشی صاحب نے شرکت کی۔ اس موقع پر جامعہ خواتین باغ کے مختلف شعبہ جات سے تعلق رکھنے والے معزز اساتذہ بھی شریک ہوئے، جن میں گوہر رحمان چغتائی (ہیڈ آف ڈیپارٹمنٹ، کمپیوٹر سائنس)، ڈائریکٹر آئی ٹی ڈاکٹر انیس عباسی، ڈاکٹر طفیل مغل (زوالوجی)، ڈاکٹر سعید شعبہ (باٹنی) سمیت دیگر اساتذہ شامل تھے۔

طالبات اُمِ حفصہ، انعم ایوب، رخسانہ پروین، انجم منور اور اقراء سبیل نے ڈاکٹر مسعود انور کی زیرِ نگرانی اپنے تحقیقی مقالہ جات مکمل کیے، جبکہ نازیہ حفیظ نے ڈاکٹر متین کی زیرِ نگرانی اپنا مقالہ مکمل کیا۔

ہم تمام کامیاب طالبات کو دل کی گہرائیوں سے مبارکباد پیش کرتے ہیں اور اُن کے روشن مستقبل کے لیے نیک تمناؤں کا اظہار کرتے ہیں۔

Ms. Tahzeeb Mahreen our faculty member at Department of Education was called upon by the Embassy of Ireland in Pakistan on May 21, 2026 where she had a briefing cm discussion session with Mary O’ Neill the ambassador of Ireland in Pakistan and Johnston Declan Deputy Head of the Mission at the Embassy about her very recent participation in the Ninth Annual South Asian Conference in Ireland and possible future collaborations between Pakistan and Ireland.

Ms. Mahreen shared her insights from the conference in Dublin, overall about her experience in Ireland and the networking opportunities she had. Moreover, she shared a broader perspective of the current circumstances in Azad Kashmir focusing higher education by dissecting various social, cultural, political and economic factors thereby highlighting the importance of education for sustainable development and how Women University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Bagh is contributing in the region to cater to various challenges with short and long term plans.

The discussion revolved around the awareness of education for sustainable development in Azad Kashmir, self sufficiency mechanisms in implementation, lifestyles and livelihoods of people and any ongoing strategic planning for future crisis scenarios.

Ms. Mahreen discussed her future plans for developmental work around sustainable development in Azad Kashmir and sought input on several ideas for collaborative projects between Pakistan and Ireland in future where the embassy assured her of complete support and guidance. Ms mahreen thanked the ambassador and the deputy head for inviting her at the Embassy and providing her this opportunity of discussion and further support in future.

یہ سمٹ گلوبل پیس سمٹ اور پروگریسو کلائمیٹ فاؤنڈیشن کے اشتراک سے منعقد ہوئی۔ چیف گیسٹ محترمہ شیریں رحمان اور سپیشل گیسٹ رانا مشہود احمد خان تھے۔

ایونٹ میں یونی لیور، OGDCL سمیت بڑی کمپنیوں کے ماہرین، پالیسی میکرز اور نوجوان رہنماؤں نے ماحولیات، سسٹین ایبل ڈیولپمنٹ اور ESG پالیسیز پر گفتگو کی۔

فرح نے مختلف پروفیشنلز اور لیڈرز کے ساتھ نیٹ ورکنگ کا موقع حاصل کیا، جو ان کی تعلیمی و پروفیشنل گروتھ کے لیے ایک بہترین تجربہ رہا۔

Women University of AJ&K, Bagh expresses profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Ms. Amina Javed, PhD Zoology Scholar from the Department of Zoology, who passed away today.

Her loss is deeply felt by the entire university community. We extend our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the bereaved family during this difficult time and pray that Almighty Allah grants her eternal peace and gives strength and patience to her family to bear this irreparable loss.

Women University of AJ&K, Bagh is pleased to inform students that applications for the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) Master’s Level Scholarships 2025–26 are now open for eligible students enrolled in Master’s or equivalent degree programs.

This scholarship program aims to support talented and deserving students of Azad Jammu & Kashmir by providing financial assistance to continue their higher education without financial barriers.

The Department of International Relations successfully organized two seminars on May 18, 2026: "Human Security" and "Dynamics of Changing Warfare in South Asia." Ms. Mehwish Kaleem and Ms. Mediha Rather initiated these events.

In the first seminar, speakers Ghanwa Arshad, Muqadas Akhtar, and Yumena Arshad shed light on various dimensions of human security.

In the second seminar, speakers Sibgha Imtiaz, Maryam Ikhlaq, Ayesha Ahmed, Minahil Rasheed, Nayab Rafiq, and Areeb Fatima discussed different aspects of the evolution of warfare in South Asia.
