Rana Asad Jabbar, President, Young Peace and Development Corps (YPDC), IUB, and a student of the Department of Soil Science the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan , FA&E in the **URAAN Pakistan Fellowship 2026**, a week-long national youth fellowship bringing together emerging young leaders from across Pakistan.

Held under the leadership of **Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal**, the URAAN Pakistan Fellowship provided a dynamic national platform for youth to engage in meaningful dialogue, leadership development, knowledge exchange, networking, and discussions around Pakistan's development priorities.

Throughout the week-long fellowship, participants from diverse universities, provinces, and backgrounds came together under one platform, creating an environment of **learning, collaboration, cultural exchange, and national unity**. Daily Youth Vision : (From Ali Raza) IUB Associate Professor Dr.Azhar Hussain Completes Post-Doctoral Research at QS Ranked 138th Universiti Putra Malaysia.

Dr.Azhar Hussain , Associate Professor at the Department of Soil Science, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan (IUB), has successfully completed his Post-Doctoral Research at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) / University of Putra Malaysia ranked 138th in the QS World University Rankings.

The Post-Doctoral Completion Certificate was formally awarded on August 17, 2026, by Prof. Dr. Nazmi Mat Nawi, Head of the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at UPM, recognizing DR AZHAR HUSSAIN's valuable research contributions and collaborative efforts during his tenure.

Specializing in Soil and Environmental Microbiology, Dr. Azhar Hussain's post-doctoral research focused on innovative and high-impact areas including snail-based foliar biofertilizers, Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR), composting techniques, organic soil amendments, and overall soil health improvement. These research areas directly address critical challenges in sustainable agriculture, offering environmentally friendly alternatives to chemical fertilizers and contributing to improved agricultural productivity and ecological sustainability.

IUB Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture and Environment Prof Dr Tanveer Hussain Turabi, and Department of Soil Science Chairman Prof. Prof. Dr Maqshoof Ahmad all expressed appreciation and pride in DR AZHAR HUSSAIN's achievement. Dr. Azhar Hussain, Associate Professor at Department of Soil Science, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), Pakistan has successfully completed his Post-Doctoral Research in Soil Science, specializing in Soil and Environmental Microbiology, under Researcher Programme at Universiti Putra Malaysia (QS World Rank 138).

During his tenure as Post-Doctoral Researcher, Dr. Azhar Hussain conducted advanced research and training under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nazmi Mat Nawi, Head of the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia.
