📍 Study Tour to Nazam Edible Oil Mills (Tri-Fry)
As part of our academic activities, students visited Nazam Edible Oil Mills (Tri-Fry) to gain practical exposure to edible oil processing, refining operations, quality control measures, and industrial safety practices. The visit provided valuable insight into large-scale oil manufacturing and helped bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world industrial applications.

🔬 What is Food Irradiation?

Food irradiation is a safe technology that uses controlled ionizing radiation to improve food safety and extend shelf life — without making food radioactive.

It works by destroying or inactivating harmful bacteria, parasites, insects, and other microorganisms that cause foodborne illness or spoilage. The treatment also delays ripening or sprouting in certain foods (e.g., fruits, potatoes).

Benefits:

✅ Purpose: Kills harmful bacteria, parasites, and insects.
✅ Preservation: Delays ripening and sprouting in produce.
