UST Bannu Senate Meeting
A meeting of the Senate of the University of Science & Technology, Bannu (UST Bannu) was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Meena Khan Afridi, Pro-Chancellor, UST Bannu.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jahanzeb, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Sardraz Khan, Registrar, Mr. Hafeez Ullah, Treasurer, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq, Dr. Hidayat Ullah, Dr. Nasir Gul, and Dr. Aftab. The Additional Secretary, Higher Education Department, Additional Secretary, Finance Department, and other members of the Senate also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, important academic, administrative, financial and developmental matters of the University were discussed. The Budget for the financial year 2026–27, Annual Plan, and Strategic Plan were presented before the Senate and, after detailed deliberation, were approved by the Senate.
The Senate emphasized effective implementation of the approved plans, prudent utilization of financial resources, improvement in academic and research standards, strengthening of governance and quality assurance mechanisms, and further institutional development of UST Bannu.
The Chair appreciated the efforts of the University administration and relevant departments in preparing the Budget 2026–27, Annual Plan and Strategic Plan and stressed that the approved plans should be implemented effectively and within the prescribed timelines.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to continue coordinated efforts for the academic, administrative and overall development of the University.
