Meeting of Honorable Vice Chancellor, UoM Prof Dr Mir Azam Khan with Dr Fawad Ahmed, Vice Principal, Swat College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Gogdara, Swat to discuss various academic matters pertaining to PharmD Program. During the meeting, matters related to curriculum development, research facilities, PharmD examination issues & students academic progress in the PharmD Program were discussed in detail.

Mr Jamil Anwar Abbasi, Lecturer in Department of Pharmacy, UoM also attended the meeting.

The Honorable Vice Chancellor, UoM Prof Dr Mir Azam Khan appreciated the efforts of Swat College of Pharmaceutical Sciences & pledged to extend full support for uplifting quality of academic activities at the institution.

News report regarding 12th Meeting of the Board of Faculty, Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Malakand held on 20th August, 2026 at the University of Malakand. The meeting was attended by distinguished faculty members and members of the Board.

At the outset, the members of the Board congratulated Prof. Dr. Mir Azam Khan on his appointment/continuation for the next tenure as Dean, Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Malakand.

During the meeting, Dr. Maqsood ur Rehman Eshrat, Secretary Board of Faculty, presented the agenda before the Board and briefed the members on the matters placed for consideration. Various academic and administrative matters relating to the Faculty and its constituent departments were discussed in detail.

The members actively participated in the discussion and presented their valuable suggestions and recommendations. The Board considered the agenda items and took appropriate decisions in accordance with the rules, regulations and academic policies of the University.

The Dean, Prof. Dr. Mir Azam Khan, thanked the members for their participation and constructive input. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts for strengthening academic standards, research activities and institutional development within the Faculty.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the Chair and all members for their valuable contributions and continued support for the academic advancement of the Faculty of Biological Sciences.

University of Malakand Launches Tree Plantation Drive with Focus on Cassia Nodosa
As part of its ongoing environmental conservation efforts, Directorate of Administration, University of Malakand organized a special plantation drive on campus, planting saplings of Cassia nodosa (Pink Shower Tree).
The drive was marked by a unique initiative honoring the university's gardening staff, who led the hands-on planting process. Members of the gardening team personally planted and watered the young saplings across designated areas of the campus, showcasing their central role in maintaining the university's green environment.
Speaking on the occasion, university representatives highlighted the importance of Cassia nodosa for enhancing campus aesthetics and local biodiversity. They emphasized that involving the grounds staff directly in such drives serves as recognition of their continuous dedication to nurturing the environment.
