NTC Conducts Interim Visit to Mir Chakar Khan Rind University of Technology
Dera Ghazi Khan, August 21, 2026: A three-member delegation of the National Technology Council (NTC) conducted an Interim Visit to Mir Chakar Khan Rind University of Technology (MCUT), Dera Ghazi Khan, for the evaluation of the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Mechanical) program.
The visiting team comprised Prof. Dr. Farrukh Arsalan Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor, University of Chakwal, Team Lead; Dr. Sarfraz Hashmi, Expert; and Hafiz Ghulam Muhammad, NTC Representative. The delegation was warmly received by Muhammad Arif Khan, Registrar, MCUT, who presented bouquets to the team members.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Touseef Aizad, briefed the delegation on the university’s academic programs, institutional development, infrastructure, governance, and future vision. Prof. Dr. Mehr Gul, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, also participated in the visit and engaged with the visiting delegation regarding academic and technical matters.
The team subsequently visited the university’s academic and administrative offices, laboratories, classrooms, and other facilities and interacted with faculty members and relevant officials.
Engr. Muhammad Umair, In-charge, Department of Mechanical and Machinery Technology, gave a departmental presentation covering the program’s academic structure, curriculum, laboratories, faculty, student activities, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) practices.
During the visit, Engr. Muhammad Anwar Jan, Lecturer, Department of Mechanical and Machinery Technology, and Engr. Saad Zafar, Laboratory Engineer, also participated in the visit and provided relevant support and technical input regarding departmental laboratories and academic facilities.
The visit was also attended by key university officers, including Engr. Muhammad Umar Khallidoon, Controller of Examinations; Amanullah, Deputy Director, Student Affairs; Muhammad Furqan, Deputy Director, Planning and Development; Engr. Shaheer Ahmad Khan, Assistant Registrar; and Ali Raza, Data Processing Officer, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), Engr Muhammad Hasseb Network Administrator.
At the conclusion, the Vice Chancellor presented souvenirs to the visiting team and expressed his appreciation and best wishes for their continued professional efforts. The visit concluded in a cordial and professional atmosphere in the presence of university officers, faculty members, and staff.
