On the occasion of the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, The University of Faisalabad commemorated the day through a series of impactful academic and creative activities held under the themes of “Marka-e-Haq” and “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.” The events organized by the departments of English Language and Literature and Islamic Studies highlighted the spirit of national solidarity, patriotism, collective responsibility, and the Islamic values of unity and brotherhood and paid rich tribute to the eternal sacrifices of the Pakistani Armed Forces and to honor their courage and bravery.

Students from the Department of English Language and Literature participated in special poetry reading session titled “بُنْيَانٌ مَّرْصُوصٌ (Bunyan-un-Marsoos) – The Voice of Unity and National Integrity” under the theme of “Marka-e-Haq Anniversary: A Tribute to Courage, Sacrifice and National Unity,” to pay tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering unity of the nation. Students passionately recited poetry reflecting themes of national integrity, resilience, peace, and hope, creating an atmosphere filled with patriotism and emotional connection to the homeland.

Simultaneously, the Department of Islamic Studies conducted an insightful seminar titled “بُنْيَانٌ مَّرْصُوصٌ: نوجوانوں کا کردار قومی استحکام اور اجتماعی قوت میں”. The keynote session was delivered by Dr Anum Hameed, who emphasized the vital role of youth in strengthening society through moral values, unity, social responsibility, and adherence to Islamic teachings of brotherhood and harmony.

As part of the commemorative activities, students also participated in an Identity Walk, carrying creative posters and placards portraying messages of harmony, collective strength, national stability, and youth empowerment. The walk symbolized the role of the younger generation in fostering unity and safeguarding the ideological foundations of the nation.

The event encouraged students to become active contributors toward national development and to uphold the principles of mutual respect, peace, and collective progress. Faculty members and students actively participated in the events, making the commemoration a meaningful reflection of intellectual engagement, cultural expression, and patriotic spirit.
