🇵🇰 A landmark moment for Pakistani science and a source of immense national pride.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Danish Saleheen and his entire team on the publication of a groundbreaking paper in Nature one of the world's most prestigious scientific journals presenting a landmark analysis of 173,303 exomes and genomes through the Pakistan Genomic Resource (PGR).

What began in 2017 with 10,000 individuals has grown into the world's largest genetic database of human knockouts a monumental scientific achievement that has placed Pakistan firmly on the global map of precision medicine and biomedical research.

Key highlights of the PGR
173,303
Exomes & Genomes
34,364
Human Knockouts
6,476
Genes with Loss-of-Function Variants
23 Cities

Nationwide representation
This research does not just advance Pakistan's scientific standing it opens new frontiers in understanding human genetics, rare disease, and therapeutic discovery for populations worldwide. Columbia University's acknowledgment of this work is a testament to its global significance.

To Dr. Danish Saleheen, his colleagues at the Center for Non-Communicable Diseases (CNCD), and every participant who contributed their data this achievement belongs to all of you. You have shown the world what Pakistani scientists are capable of when given the vision, resources, and resolve to pursue excellence.

Pakistan's data. Global discovery. A healthier future. 🌍🧬
