The Hostels Society UAF successfully organized the Annual Hostel Competition, where Hashmi Hall delivered an outstanding performance and secured 2nd Position Overall! 🎉👏

The event began with the warm welcome of Mr. Imdad Hashmi, President International Club UAF, by the Hashmi Hall management. The Hostel Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and President IC then jointly welcomed the Monitoring Committee and guided them through the hostel premises.

On the occasion, President International Club, Imdad Hashmi, delivered an impactful speech on behalf of The Hostels Society UAF, highlighting the society’s key services, initiatives, and contributions towards the university and student community over the past few months.

Following the event, upon the special request of the President International Club, the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, paid a special visit to Hashmi Hall and toured the President International Club’s room.

During the visit, Muhammad Yahya briefed the Worthy Vice Chancellor about the senior International graduate students from 2000 to the present, along with their achievements and contributions.

As a token of respect and gratitude, Mula Umar presented a special souvenir to the Worthy Vice Chancellor. 🤝

The International Club extends its heartfelt appreciation to The Hostel Society UAF, Hashmi Hall management, Chief Hall Warden, and our Worthy Vice Chancellor for their support and presence, which made this occasion truly memorable.

The International Club UAF organized a Farewell Party to celebrate and honor our graduating fellows as they complete an important chapter of their academic journey.

The gathering was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on shared experiences, celebrate achievements, and create lasting memories with friends who have become family throughout their time at UAF.

🏆 Student of the Year 2026 🏆

The International Club UAF proudly congratulates Mr. Obaid Hashmi on being selected as the recipient of the inaugural Student of the Year Award.

This award recognizes his outstanding academic excellence, exemplary leadership, dedicated service to international students, and significant contributions to the International Club.

Mr. Obaid Hashmi has served the International Club UAF in various leadership capacities, including Press Secretary, President, and Advisory Board Member. Throughout his journey, he has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to student welfare, advocacy for international students, and community service.

Academically, he is the topper of his department. Beyond the university, he serves as the Director of the IASA-Global Blood Network (IGBN), promoting voluntary blood donation and humanitarian service across multiple countries.

This recognition reflects his dedication, leadership, and continued efforts to make a positive impact both within and beyond the university community.
