The 79th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with great zeal and patriotic fervor at Govt. Graduate College for Women, People’s Colony, Gujranwala.

The ceremony commenced with the *illumination of the college building*. The entire building was decorated with lights, national flags, and buntings, which gave a beautiful and festive look to the campus.

The main event began with a *Flag Hoisting Ceremony*. The Principal, along with faculty members and students, hoisted the National Flag while the National Anthem was played. All participants stood with respect and sang the anthem in unison.

The program continued with Tilawat of HoLy Verses and Naat-e-Rasool ﷺ presented by students, which filled the atmosphere with spiritual devotion. This was followed by patriotic national songs and tablo performances by students. The songs highlighted the sacrifices of our national heroes and promoted love for the country.

Speeches were also delivered by faculty members and students on the importance of independence, national unity, and the role of women in nation-building.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal, who appreciated the efforts of the staff and students for making the event successful. Sweets were distributed among the participants at the end.

The celebration ended with prayers for the progress, prosperity, and solidarity of Pakistan.

The worthy principal of college planted a plant on this occasion. Other faculty members also planted plants with the prayers of prosperity and love for Pakistan.
