یونیورسٹی آف گجرات میں سینئر صحافی سلمان غنی کے اعزاز میں پروقار تقریب
گجرات (نمائندہ خصوصی) — یونیورسٹی آف گجرات کے مرکز برائے میڈیا اینڈ کمیونیکیشن اسٹڈیز کے زیر اہتمام ایک پُروقار تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا، جس میں ممتاز صحافی و تجزیہ کار جناب سلمان غنی (ستارۂ امتیاز) کے اعزاز میں انہیں خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا گیا۔
تقریب کی صدارت یونیورسٹی کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ظہور الحق (تمغۂ امتیاز) نے کی، جنہوں نے تمام معزز مہمانوں کا پرتپاک خیرمقدم کیا۔

اس موقع پر سینئر صحافی سلمان عابد، سابق ڈائریکٹر جنرل پبلک ریلیشنز پنجاب ڈاکٹر اسلم ڈوگر، اور صدر پریس کلب گجرات عبد الستار مرزا بھی بطور مہمانِ خصوصی شریک تھے۔

سلمان غنی صاحب نے صحافت کے بدلتے ہوئے رجحانات اور موجودہ ملکی و بین الاقوامی حالات پر نہایت پرمغز تبصرہ پیش کیا، جسے طلبہ و طالبات نے بڑی دلچسپی سے سنا اور بھرپور سوالات کے ذریعے اپنی علمی پیاس بجھائی۔
یہ تقریب بنیادی طور پر سلمان غنی صاحب کو "ستارۂ امتیاز" ملنے کی خوشی میں منعقد کی گئی تھی، جس پر شرکاء نے انہیں بھرپور انداز میں مبارکباد پیش کی۔

سلمان عابد صاحب نے اپنے خطاب میں صحافتی اقدار، تحقیق اور غیر جانبداری جیسے اہم موضوعات پر مفصل روشنی ڈالی اور نوجوان صحافیوں کو اصولی اور ذمہ دارانہ صحافت اپنانے کی تلقین کی۔

آخر میں وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ظہور الحق (تمغۂ امتیاز) نے اختتامی کلمات میں معزز مہمانوں کا شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے طلبہ کو حق اور سچائی پر قائم رہنے کی نصیحت کی۔
انہوں نے مہمانانِ گرامی سے درخواست کی کہ وہ آئندہ بھی اسی جذبے اور تعاون کے ساتھ یونیورسٹی آف گجرات کو اپنے پسندیدہ اداروں میں شامل رکھیں اور اپنے علم و تجربے سے جامعہ کو مستفید کرتے رہیں۔

Vice Chancellor Unveils Strategic Plan at University of Gujrat

Gujrat, (April 24, 2025) In a landmark step towards academic and institutional development, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zahoor ul Haq (TI) shared the strategic plan for the University of Gujrat (UOG) during an interactive session held at the Quaid-e-Azam Library Auditorium today.

The session aimed to foster student engagement in shaping the future direction of the university. A large number of students actively participated in the event, which was designed to make the strategic plan more inclusive and responsive to on-ground academic and administrative realities.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Zahoor ul Haq (TI) outlined key priorities of the strategic roadmap, emphasizing academic excellence, administrative transparency, student facilitation, digital innovation, and stronger industry-academia linkages. He encouraged students to take ownership of their university’s growth and contribute meaningfully to its progress.

The session also included open dialogue segments, where students voiced their concerns and presented practical suggestions to address challenges related to academic policies, administrative processes, infrastructure, and learning resources. The Vice Chancellor acknowledged their input and assured continuous engagement for actionable reforms.

University of Gujrat Hosts Business Idea Pitch Competition – Cohort 2025

UOG | April 24, 2025: | The University of Gujrat (UOG), in collaboration with its Business Incubation Center (BIC), successfully hosted the Business Idea Pitch Competition – Cohort 2025 on April 23–24, bringing together aspiring entrepreneurs, students, and industry experts for a dynamic two-day entrepreneurial event.

Under the theme “Innovate, Create, Inspire,” the competition aimed to empower young minds to transform creative business ideas into viable ventures, offering them a platform to pitch, network, and grow.

Distinguished Guests and Dignitaries: The event was honored by the presence of Mrs. Rubina Naveed, Vice President, and Mrs. Gulzaib Waqas, Senior Vice President of the Sialkot Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, alongside Ch. Rukhsar Ahmed, Regional Director of SMEDA.
