Exciting News!
A very warm welcome back to Mr. Imdad Ali, Lecturer, Department of Linguistics and Literature at the University of Haripur!

After a successful 6-month IRSIP doctoral research visit to the University of Arizona, USA, Mr. Ali has rejoined the department, bringing with him great research experience and international exposure. He has completed the write-up of his doctoral thesis under the supervision of Dr. Waheed Ahmad (inland-supervisor) and Prof. Dr. Hayriye Kayi-Aydar (foreign-advisor)
The department extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Ali on this remarkable research accomplishment!
We're eagerly looking forward to hearing about his incredible journey and the valuable insights he gained during his stay abroad.

Today, the Department of Linguistics and Literature hosted an amazing orientation session for the fresher of first-semester for the class 2024-2028, newly enrolled in the department. The session was wonderful laden with inspiring and thoughtful presentations from the faculty of the English department, filled with deep insights of fundamentals of literature and linguistics and guidance for students. The event was a mesmerizing and sensational, a great success and students learned a better understanding of the department not only academically but extracurricular activities and awareness about the coming seminars as well. Distinguished speakers of the session did an exceptional job in welcoming students and showcasing invaluable opportunities for them about their future in this program. They highlighted the irrefutable need of English in current time, encouraged students for participation in co-curricular activities, academic prospects which will help them in their academic and professional growth. At the end, students were left with both inspiration and information, felt excited and connected to the department.
