The current education system is a factory model that prioritizes standardization over individuality, rote memorization over creativity, and conformity over critical thinking. It can stifle curiosity, crush creativity, and produce individuals who are ill-equipped to navigate the complexities of the modern world.

Like a gardener who prunes flowers to fit a predetermined shape, our education system often forces students to conform to narrow standards, suppressing their unique talents and perspectives. The emphasis on grades and testing can lead to a culture of competition, where students are pitted against one another rather than encouraged to collaborate and learn from each other.

This system can also perpetuate existing power structures and social inequalities, limiting opportunities for marginalized groups and reinforcing the status quo. By prioritizing obedience and compliance over creativity and dissent, we risk producing a society that values sameness over diversity and innovation.

Ultimately, our education system should aim to cultivate curious, creative, and critically thinking individuals who are equipped to navigate the complexities of the world and create positive change. By recognizing the limitations of the current system and working to create a more inclusive, flexible, and student-centered approach, we can empower future generations to thrive and make a meaningful impact.

A one-day international conference on new trends in nanotechnology organized at the University of Haripur

According to details, chief guest Prof. Arshad Salim Bhatti, Vice Chancellor, Virtual University of Pakistan, Dr. Maruf Shah, Director, COMSATS University, Abbottabad, Prof. Dr. Umair Manzoor, Dean, Nutech University, Prof. Dr. Abida Raza Rao, Arid Agricultural University, Prof. Dr. Bushra Aziz and Dr. Shaista Shahzada from International Islamic University, Dr. Syed Shiraz Ahmad, Chairman Department of Physics, Swabi University, Dr. Ayub Jadoun of Abbottabad University of Science and Technology and many other professors and students coking across the country participated in the conference.

In his welcoming address, the Vice Chancellor, University of Haripur, Professor Dr. Shafiqur Ur Rahman welcomed the distinguished local as well as international speakers, professors, students participants. He specifically highlighted the need and importance of academic and research collaboration between universities.

The conference was jointly organized by Chairman Department of Physics, Dr. Fayaz and Dr. Syed Mohammad Ali, Chairman Department of Microbiology of the University of Haripur along with their teams. Dr. Kamran Rehan, Assistant Professor, Physics performed as stage secretary.

Vice Chancellor Virtual University, Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti spoke about the history of nanotechnology and its importance in modern times as well as opportunities and challenges of this technology in Pakistani universities and asked the participating students to take full advantage of these opportunities.

Dr. Stefano Cinti, from University of Naplis, Italy, Dr. Mujeeb Ur Rehman, from York St. John University, UK and Dr. Numan Arshid from Sunway University, Malaysia addressed the Conference online.

Several experts addressed the conference and students and participants from various universities and organizations presented research papers during day-long conference.

یونیورسٹی آف ہری پور کی طرف سے سیلاب زدگان کے امداد کے لئے فلد ریلیف کیمپ کا انعقاد گزشتہ روز شروع کیا گیا ، جو کہ مُسلسل سات دن تک جاری رہیگا ۔ آپ سب لوگوں سے التماس ہے کہ مشکل میں پھنسے اپنے بھائیوں اور بہنوں کے مدد کے لئے اگے بڑھیں ۔ آپ آدویات ، کمبل ، رضائیاں ، جوتے ، پینے کا صاف پانی جو بھی ہو سکے ، ہمیں ڈونیٹ کر سکتے ہیں ۔
