Independence Day Celebration at Government Khursheed Begum Girls Degree College

Government Khursheed Begum Girls Degree College celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The Chief Guest, MPA Nasir Qureshi, attended the ceremony along with his team and was warmly welcomed by the Principal, faculty members, and Scout students.
Principal Prof Shehnaz Memon along with faculty members and scouts welcome the Chief Guest.
The ceremony began with flag hoisting and the National Anthem, followed by Quranic recitation and Naat. Students presented national songs, speeches, and a patriotic tableau by the Scout students, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
The celebration concluded with cake cutting and prayers for Pakistan’s peace, prosperity, and progress.

Today, on 13 August 2026, various activities were organized at Government Khursheed Begum Girls Degree College as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

In the first phase of the program, a national song competition was held under the supervision of Zoology Dep in which the students who secured top positions were awarded first, second, and third position certificates.
On this occasion, the Girl Scouts also presented a spectacular tableau on Pakistan. The enthusiastic and spirited performances of the students added great charm to the event. This beautiful tableau was prepared under the supervision of the Scout's focal person, Miss Kulsoom Samo.
In the third phase of the program, poster, painting, and calligraphy competitions were held, which were excellently organized by Ms. Sobiaa Khaskheli. To encourage the participating students, they were also awarded certificates.
At the end, the college Principal Shehnaz Memon, appreciated the efforts of the faculty members and highly praised all the program.🇵🇰🇵🇰

یومِ آزادی کے حوالے سے شجرکاری مہم

خورشید بیگم گورنمنٹ گرلز ڈگری کالج میں آج یومِ آزادی کے حوالے سے شجرکاری مہم کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ اس پروگرام کا اہتمام کالج کے شعبۂ نباتات (Botany Department) کی جانب سے کیا گیا۔

اس موقع پر کالج کے احاطے میں مختلف پودے لگائے گئے تاکہ کالج کا ماحول سرسبز، صاف اور خوبصورت بنایا جا سکے اور شجرکاری کے ذریعے سبز پاکستان کے عزم کو فروغ دیا جا سکے۔

میڈم شیناز اور دیگر سینئر اساتذہ نے بھی پودے لگا کر اس مہم میں بھرپور حصہ لیا۔ اس موقع پر پاکستان کی سلامتی، خوشحالی، امن اور ترقی کے لیے خصوصی دعا بھی کی گئی۔

An Independence Day celebration program was organised on 12th August 2026 under the supervision of the Principal, Professor Shahnaz Memon.
The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Naat-e-Rasool ﷺ.
The event comprised three segments:
Segment 1: Pakistani Cultural Performances
Organised jointly by the Mathematics and Economics Departments, students presented vibrant Pakistani cultural performances with great enthusiasm.
Segment 2: Quiz Competition
Organised by the Pakistan Studies Department, the quiz provided students an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and learning.
Segment 3: Essay Writing Competition
Organised by the Commerce Department, the competition was held in Urdu, English and Sindhi. Respective language Professors performed judging responsibilities. Students expressed their thoughts through creative and informative essays.
Students participated in all activities with great zeal and enthusiasm. Winners and participants were awarded Certificates of Appreciation💕

Independence Day Seminar Held at Khursheed Begum Government Girls Degree College

A seminar was organized today at Khursheed Begum Government Girls Degree College in connection with Pakistan's Independence Day (14th August) under the theme "The Glory of the Heroes of Pakistan." The event was held under the supervision of Principal Prof. Shahnaz Memon and organised and prepared by Ms. kalsoom Samo and Ms. Sidra Baig.

The seminar highlighted the sacrifices, courage, and achievements of Pakistan's national heroes. Faculty members and students actively participated, expressing their patriotism and paying tribute to the individuals who contributed to the nation's freedom and progress.
