A session on “Cyber Security Awareness” - 11th January 20224
On the direction of the honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization, in collaboration with the IT department, hosted a significant “Cyber Security Awareness” session on 11th January at Asadullah Kazi Auditorium, Isra University, Hyderabad.
Our esteemed Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, warmly welcomed participants, expressing gratitude for their collective commitment to strengthening our digital resilience. In his opening address, he underscored the significance of cybersecurity in today's rapidly evolving technological landscape and acknowledged the invaluable insights the distinguished speakers would impart. He recognized the pressing need for a robust cybersecurity framework and emphasized the shared responsibility in creating a secure digital environment within our institution.
The session featured insights from five distinguished speakers, including representatives from the Federal Investigation Agency. Mr. Aamir Ali, Assistant Director (FIA), Saeed Ahmed Shaikh, Inspector (FIA), Mr. Sajid Hakim, Assistant Sub Inspector (FIA), Ms. Shehnila Sahar, Advocate, and Mr. Asghar Ali, Senior software engineer.
The experts provided valuable real-world perspectives on the dynamic landscape of cyber threats and preventive measures. To honor their contributions, our esteemed Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, along with the Additional Director, ORIC, Haseebullah Memon, and the Director of IT, Hafiz Tariq, presented souvenirs to the guests.
The event served as a pivotal platform for enhancing the understanding of cybersecurity among our community members. The session garnered enthusiastic participation from Heads of Departments (HODs), Deans, Chairpersons, employees, and staff. The wide engagement and collaborative spirit demonstrated by HODs, Deans, Chairpersons, and staff further underscored the collective commitment to ensuring a secure digital environment within our institution. This session is a testament to our ongoing efforts to prioritize cybersecurity and foster a culture of digital safety and resilience.
As the cybersecurity awareness session concluded, certificates were awarded to the dedicated organizers, acknowledging their pivotal role.
