Happy Box Initiative | SDG 1: No Poverty

Today, the students of BS Accounting & Finance – 1st Semester, NUML Hyderabad Campus stepped beyond the classroom and into the community with a meaningful purpose: to understand, support, and raise awareness about Sustainable Development Goal 1 — No Poverty.

As part of the Happy Box Initiative, our students visited a slum-dweller community in Hyderabad and engaged with families with empathy, respect, and compassion. The students distributed Happy Boxes containing essential support items and spent time connecting with the community.

The students also documented their experience through a short documentary, capturing their journey, reflections, and the importance of community engagement.

This activity was not simply about giving a box. It was about building awareness, encouraging empathy, and inspiring young people to become responsible members of society.

“Small Boxes. Big Smiles. Brighter Tomorrows.”

Through experiential learning, our students discovered that education extends beyond the classroom—and that even a small act of kindness can begin a larger conversation about social responsibility and a more inclusive society.

NUML Hyderabad Campus proudly celebrates Mr. Sufiyan Khilji, a BS English (3rd Semester) student and young researcher, on the publication of his debut book, Unbounded Soul.

Book Title: Unbounded Soul
Author: Sufiyan Khilji

This book explores the true, unbounded nature of the soul beyond any sect or boundary. It reminds us that no baby is born with hate in its heart, these are all taught by this world. This book inspires the theme of eternal connectivity between the soul and its source, while also unveiling the deeper mystery of the closest path to God: understanding the complex puzzle of an examination hall where there are no ready-made keys, allowing souls to come together and unlock the door to their source. The book gradually leads to a deeper exploration of the oneness and universality of God.

Orientation Day | Fall 2026

The Fall 2026 batch was warmly welcomed during the Opening Ceremony by the Regional Director, Honorable Colonel (R) Muhammad Nawaz. In his inspiring address, he motivated students to dream big, work hard, respect diversity, and make meaningful contributions to society through the transformative power of education and languages.

Following this, Mr. Abbas Ali Gopang, Head, Department of Languages, briefed the students on campus rules, academic regulations, and curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. He also highlighted NUML’s vision, mission, and significant contributions to education and societal development.
The briefing also covered essential campus facilities and student services, including the library, psychological counselling services, café, student support services, and student societies, ensuring students were well informed about both academic and campus life.

Furthermore, Mr. Muhammad Zulfqar, AD Academics, briefed the students on the overall academic policies and rules, scholarships, fee structure, and dress code.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Prof. Barkatullah, who encouraged and motivated the students to embrace their university journey with dedication, discipline, and confidence.
