The Board of Studies (BOS) meeting of the Department of English, Isra University, Hyderabad, was held on Tuesday, May,12 ,2025.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Riaz Ahmed Mangrio and was attended by both internal and external members. External members included: Dr. Abdul Hameed Panwhar, Professor, University of Sindh, Jamshoro; Professor Sameena Khokhar, University of Sindh, Jamshoro; and DrInsaf Ali Siming,Chairman,Department Of English, Quest, Nawabshah.Internal members were:Dr Riaz Ahmed Mangrio,Chairman,Department of English; Mr. Nadeem Jalbani, Senior Lecturer; Mr. Inayat Ali Dal , Academic Co-ordinator, Department of English; Mr Mohsin Shaikh, Lecturer. Co-opted members included Mr. Murad Memon (Head of Quality Enhancement Cell) and Mr Haseebullah (Deputy Director, ORIC)
The meeting focused on Academic matters and Alignment of Courses for all Batches of the Department of English, including BS Bridging Program and MS English Linguistics Programsโ nomenclature,Marking Criteria and scheme of studies. After constructive discussions and professional input from all members, the Board unanimously recommended the above mentioned Programs of the Department for final approval in the Upcoming Board of Faculty.
