The School of Islamic Banking and Finance (SOIBF) is pleased to announce the forthcoming publication of Paper and Digital Currency: Jurisprudential Characterization and Sharīʿah Status, authored by our Shariah expert, senior faculty member, and Ex-Chairperson, Dr. Muhammad Abubakar Siddique.

This timely scholarly work critically examines paper currency, Bitcoin, private digital currencies, government-issued digital currency (Central Bank Digital Currency—CBDC), and tokenization from Islamic jurisprudential, legal, and contemporary economic perspectives. The book is expected to be launched soon................................

A productive meeting was held between Dr. Muhammad Abubakar Siddique, School of Islamic Banking and Finance, International Islamic University Islamabad, and Dr. Danish Iqbal Attari, Vice-Chancellor, Dar ul Madina International University.

The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation in Islamic Banking and Finance education, research, and academic development, while exploring opportunities for future collaboration between the two institutions.

A productive meeting was held between Dr Danish Iqbal Attari, Vice-Chancellor of DMIU, and Dr Muhammad Abubakar Siddique, Chairperson of the School of Islamic Banking and Finance at International Islamic University, Islamabad.
