Dear colleagues,
The annual workshop of IGCP 732 “The Anthropocene through Different Lenses: Integrating Geological, Environmental and Societal Planetary Perspectives in Pakistan (UNESCO IGCP 732 Workshop)” will take place from August 13-16, 2026, in Islamabad, Pakistan and online.
The programme includes a hybrid scientific session on August 14. A two-day field trip is scheduled for August 15–16 to the geologically significant Salt Range and Hazara Galyat areas of the Himalayan Foreland Zone. The field trip will include visits to several notable sites, including the historic Khewra Salt Mine, the ancient Katas Raj Temple, the Kallar Kahar Lake, and the Buddhist archaeological complex at Taxila, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980.
The final program will be available after we receive all contributions.
