The Gilgit-Baltistan Students Council (GBSC) proudly congratulates Muhammad Wasi, a student from Gilgit-Baltistan, on his remarkable achievement of being selected for the prestigious MITACS Globalink Research Internship Program and becoming the first student from QAU to officially join the MITACS Fully Funded Globalink Research Internship (GRI) Program in Canada.

He is currently pursuing BS Environmental Sciences at Quaid-i-Azam University and will spend three months at Université du Québec as a Research Associate, working on climate change and human impact on lake ecosystems.

This achievement reflects the talent and potential of the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan and is a matter of great pride for the entire region.

Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad – USAT Admission Test Announcement

Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), in coordination with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, is pleased to announce a dedicated Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) for candidates who could not register in the previous test slots.

Eligibility Criteria

* Candidates who have completed HSSC / HSSC Part-I / A-Level or equivalent qualification.
* This is a first chance for candidates who were not registered with HEC, and a second chance for those already registered (if they wish to improve their score).
* Applicants seeking admission in undergraduate programs at QAU, Islamabad.

Test Categories

* USAT-A: Arts & Humanities
* USAT-COM: Commerce
* USAT-CS: Computer Science
* USAT-E: Engineering
* USAT-GS: General Science

All prospective students planning to apply for BS and Pharm.D programmes at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, are informed that the HEC Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) has been introduced.

Candidates intending to apply for QAU Fall 2026 admissions are strongly advised to register for the HEC USAT before applying, as the test result may be required for admission.

⚠️ This is the LAST USAT test of the year for students who want to apply for QAU Fall 2026 admissions.

📝 USAT Registration Details:
• Registration Open: 17 May 2026
• Registration Deadline: 7 June 2026

Students are encouraged to complete their USAT registration on time to avoid any inconvenience during the admission process.
