Over the years, the NUST has been making a tremendous effort to connect with its graduates and provide a uniform platform, whereby alumni can stay in touch with their alma mater. We aim to take our alumni, who are well placed in the job market and are more than ready to join hands with NUST, to rejuvenate the alumni office as previously, the proper infrastructure and resources were absent. On 10th April 2026, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Alumni Association (NAA) KSA hosted its Annual Family Gala in Riyadh, bringing together NUST alumni from across the Kingdom for a truly nationwide gathering. The event welcomed distinguished guests from PDGR, IEP, and PIQS KSA chapters and featured a variety of activities, including indoor and outdoor game zones, high tea, a dinner buffet, and engaging performances.

Addressing the audience, Ahmad Rasool, PgMP, PMP (MCE 2004), President of the NUST Alumni KSA Chapter, highlighted the importance of active alumni engagement, meaningful networking, and giving back to support fellow alumni and students.

We were delighted to welcome Mr. Ahsan Pervaiz Khan (NICE 2013), VP PR and Liaison of the NUST Alumni Association KSA Chapter, to the NUST campus during his visit from KSA. He met with Pro-Rector RIC Dr. Rizwan Riaz, Director UAO Ms. Arooba Gillani, and the UAO team for a productive and insightful discussion. The meeting centered on strengthening alumni engagement in KSA, exchanging valuable ideas on how NUST alumni can contribute to the university’s growth and development. It was a pleasure to welcome Mr. Saud Sarwar (CEME 2005), former President of the NUST Alumni Association KSA Chapter, to the NUST campus during his recent visit from Saudi Arabia. He met with Pro-Rector RIC Dr. Rizwan Riaz, Director UAO Ms. Arooba Gillani, and the UAO team for an engaging and insightful discussion.

NUST Alumni Iftar Meetup 2026 – Lahore

University Advancement Office hosted the NUST Alumni and Donor Iftar Meetup in Lahore on Saturday, 7 March 2026, at PAF Skyview Golf and Sports Complex. The alumni-centric gathering brought together 150+ NUST alumni, creating an evening filled with shared memories, meaningful conversations, and renewed connection with the university.

The gathering was addressed by Ms. Arooba Gillani TI , Director Advancement, who spoke about the importance of alumni engagement and the growing role of alumni communities in supporting university initiatives and strengthening the NUST network.

Alumni reflected on their experiences at NUST and shared their continued sense of pride and connection with their alma mater, highlighting the strong bond that remains long after graduation.

During the event, prominent alumni and donors were also acknowledged through the presentation of shields in recognition of their continued support and contribution.

Special appreciation is extended to Mr Ali Baig and Ms. Aneeba Aslam for organizing the Lahore meetup. Their dedication and efforts in bringing together a large number of alumni, managing the arrangements, and ensuring smooth coordination played a key role in making the gathering possible.

NUST Alumni & Donor Iftar Meetup 2026 – Karachi

The University Advancement Office hosted the Alumni & Donor Iftar Meetup in Karachi on Friday, 6 March 2026, as part of the Global Zakat Campaign, Dast-e-Karam. The gathering brought together 50+ prominent alumni and donors, creating an evening of reflection, and renewed commitment to supporting deserving students at NUST.

The event began with welcome remarks by Ms. Arooba Gillani, Director Advancement, who spoke about the financial challenges faced by many talented students and the increasing need for scholarship support. She also provided an overview of the Dast-e-Karam campaign, highlighting how alumni and donor contributions are helping ensure that capable students are not deprived of higher education due to financial constraints.

This was followed by an address by Dr. Rizwan Riaz, Pro-Rector RIC, who emphasized the long-term impact of investing in education. He shared that educating one student does not only uplift an individual , it strengthens an entire family, and ultimately contributes to the progress of a whole community. He noted that donations directed towards education create lasting impact that extend far beyond the classroom.

The audience then heard from the longstanding donor and supporter of NUST, Mr. Danish Aman, CEO of Saturday Welfare Group. He shared his confidence in the transparency of the system and expressed satisfaction with how well the donations are managed, encouraging others to support the cause as well.

During the evening, prominent donors were acknowledged and appreciated through the presentation of shields, recognizing their continued generosity towards the university and its students.

The gathering concluded with a shared message that reflects the spirit of the campaign and the values of the NUST community:

No deserving student should be denied the opportunity to pursue education due to financial hardship.
