NUST International Model United Nations operates as a professional organization and takes the obligation of an organization's management towards the welfare and interests of the society in which it operates very seriously. The Social Responsibility Project is a new portfolio under the NIMUN banner which will operate as a separate entity throughout the year. The concept of SRP is to give back to ou

r society in any capacity possible, making it better in any way and helping it grow as leaders and workers. As NIMUN’17 aims to focus on 17 sustainable development goals, SRP will also inculcate these in their projects and work for their fulfillment in our community as a starting point, however, as the SRP logo symbolizes a bird of peace rising above poverty and inequality and progressing toward the edge of human progress, we plan to contribute to all of Pakistan and achieving these goals as a nation. Social responsibility is a duty every individual has to perform so as to maintain a balance between the economy and the ecosystems and SRP under NIMUN has taken it upon itself to perform this duty to its full capability.

You were our mentor and our guide; nothing would have been possible without you. Your enthusiasm and your endless love towards us will always be deeply embedded within us. Thank you for always being so incredibly supportive and kind. The impact you left behind will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace, Sir.

It is with exceedingly heavy hearts and deepest sorrow that we inform you of the passing away of one of the most beloved and important members of the NIMUN family - Sir Kashir Asghar.

Beloved by everyone who knew him, Sir Kashir touched the lives of many. He was a kind soul who was always a source of inspiration and guidance to those around him. It was under his mentorship that the NIMUN brand made a name for itself and today the NIMUN family grieves deeply at this untimely and devastating tragedy as we mourn the loss of our mentor, our guide, our advisor and our confidant.

Your efforts, your kindness, your love, and your presence will always be missed and remembered, Sir.

At the wake of this irreplaceable loss, our hearts go out to his family and loved ones. We pray that may Allah Almighty grant him the highest ranks in paradise, and give patience and strength to his family.

In contribution to SDG 3 Good Health & Well being, the Social Responsibility Program, in collaboration with Darakhshan, conducted a women health and hygiene drive. The session emphasized on importance of hygiene and encouraged the women of the Afghan slum area put their health first and keep their environment clean. The use of different personal hygiene and cleaning products was discussed and also distributed during this drive.

For the first time ever, Social Responsibility Program NIMUN'20 hosted its second fundraiser.The Winter Jam had it all; drum circle, bonfire, fairy lights, barbecue, everything to sum up the perfect night before the big event!

Thank you Gumaan Tunes for making this event a success and conducting the drum circle session.

Lastly, a huge thank you to all the teams who helped make this possible, especially Team Social Events and Team Security!
