On 29th September 2026 the meeting of the committee of courses (Department of Islamic economics) was conducted in the Dean's office Faculty of Arabic & Islamic studies chaired by Dean faculty, Prof. Dr. Mohyuddin Hashmi. The members of COC participated with fruitful detailed discussion on the agenda presented by Dr. Syed Muhammad Abdul Rehman Shah as secretary after the recitation of Holy Quran by Dr. Hafiz Moazzam Shah.

The meeting was conducted successfully.
A fruitful discussion was made on 13 agenda items including BS Islamic Finance scheme of study ( 4, 2.5 , 2 years), Diploma in IF, Proposal of Certificate of AAOIFI Shari'a Standards, Proposal of MS and PhD in Islamic Economics and Finance, Proposal for Islamic social finance centre by FSC, and the list of Islamic finance experts.
The meeting concluded successfully with a vote of thanks to and from the Chair. The committee expressed high confidence that these programmatic upgrades would significantly elevate the standard of Islamic Economics and Finance education.
