🇵🇰 14 August | Independence Day of Pakistan

Today, at Khalida Iqbal Free Education School (KIFES), we remember the sacrifices, struggles, and vision behind the creation of Pakistan.

For us, patriotism is not only about raising the national flag. It is also about taking responsibility for our country, serving our communities, educating our children, protecting our environment, and contributing positively wherever we can.

Through our “1 Parcham, 1 Shajar” initiative, we tried to give our students a simple message:

One flag represents our identity. One tree represents our responsibility towards Pakistan’s future. 🇵🇰🌱

May our children grow with knowledge, character, responsibility, and a sincere commitment to serve Pakistan.

Pakistan Zindabad. 🇵🇰

From CSP to Mentorship

A Journey of Real Impact

Khalida Iqbal Free Education School extends heartfelt appreciation to FAST NUCES, Islamabad Campus and Mr. Waseem Shahzad, Director FAST-NUCES Islamabad Campus, for encouraging meaningful student engagement with community education.

FAST students joined us as part of their CSP hours, but their contribution became much more than a requirement. We designed an AI curriculum for our school children, and these students taught it with dedication, patience, and responsibility. Through storytelling, creativity, and practical learning, they helped our children understand AI in a simple and inspiring way.

Later, when our students got the opportunity to participate in a competition, these FAST students became their mentors. They trained them, guided them, supported their preparation, and stood with them throughout the process from learning to presentation and exhibition.

We are especially thankful to Mr. Waseem Shahzad for appreciating his students and recognizing the value of such community-based learning. His encouragement shows how universities can build not only professionals, but responsible young leaders who give back to society.

Thank you, FAST NUCES, Islamabad Campus, for being part of this journey where education, technology, mentorship, and service came together for a stronger Pakistan.

COMPPEC 2026
Two Awards, One Powerful Message
Our Children Can Shine Anywhere

Alhamdulillah, Khalida Iqbal Free Education School is delighted to announce that our students won awards in two categories at COMPPEC - Computer Project Exhibition and Competition 2026.

Our winners:

Ailish and Mahnoor — Speed Programming
Nawab and Wajeeha — Early Age Programming Junior Category

This achievement is not only about trophies. It is about confidence, courage, exposure, and the belief that our children can stand on any platform with dignity, talent, and hard work.

COMPPEC 2026 was a very special experience for us. Our students were welcomed, respected, encouraged, and given the chance to prove themselves. Alongside the competition, the food stall opportunity for our Meri Pehchan - Women & Youth Empowerment Cooking and Baking Team gave our youth and women real-world exposure, confidence, and motivation.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to College of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, NUST for creating such a meaningful platform and for opening doors of opportunity for our students.

A very special thank you to Respected Sir Usman, Head of Department, for his generous support, trust, and kindness. Because of his encouragement, our students received not only an opportunity, but also respect and honor.

We are also deeply thankful to Ms. Aleena, an old student of NUST EME and a sincere supporter of our mission, who became a beautiful bridge between us and made this collaboration possible with such ease and sincerity.

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to FAST NUCES, Islamabad Campus students M. Hassan and Fahad, who worked as mentors for our children. They prepared our students with dedication, guided them step by step, supported them till the end, and stood beside them throughout the competition journey. Their mentorship played a very important role in building the confidence and readiness of our young participants.

Today, these awards are proof that when institutions, mentors, and sincere supporters come together, under-resourced children do not just participate they shine.

Our children came back with awards, but more than that, they came back with confidence, pride, and a stronger belief in themselves.

May Allah bless everyone who became part of this journey. This win is for our students, our teachers, our mentors, our supporters, and for a stronger Pakistan.
