Call for Proposals-PSF and TUBITAK Competitive Research Program (CRP)
The Scientific and Technological Research Institution of Turkey (TUBITAK), the HEC Charted/Recognized Universities, Public Sector Research Institution (only the regular faculty members/researchers) in collaboration with Industry are invited to submit R&D Proposals in the following fields:
1. Artificial Intelligence (AI)
2. Internet of things (IoT)
3. Electric Vehicles
4. Oceanography
The proposals should be submitted through the Research Grant Management System (RGMS) of PSF from the Pakistani Side whereas from the Turkish Side, the proposals should be submitted through TUBITAK's Project Application System. PSF will support the projects upto Rs. 20.00 million whereas TUBITAK will support projects upto 4.00 million Turkish Lira (TL). The maximum duration of the project must not exceed 24 months (2 years).
This call is open between March 18th, 2024 to June 3rd, 2024

Faculty Cricket Competition between CUST and FAST University

CUST faculty cricket team visited NU-FAST University, Islamabad to play a friendly cricket match against the FAST faculty team on 21st February 2024. The team players were received by the FAST representative and were offered refreshments.

The 1st match was played for 10 overs, and the CUST faculty team scored 103 runs for chase to FAST faculty team. Players from both sides very enthusiastically participated in the game. A large number of the crowd enjoyed and supported the players. The FAST faculty team chased the target in the last over and won the 1st match by 2 wickets. For the 2nd match, CUST team made some changes in the team. While bating 1st, Dr. Shafiq, Dr. Mouazzam, and Dr. Afzal played very well, and CUST piled a huge total of 138 runs in 8 overs. The bowling end from CUST side performed much better, and they won the 2nd match by 77 runs.

At the end, the rector FAST-NU, Dr. Aftab Ahmad joined the players for the photo session, and at lunch. Dr. Nayyar Masood and Dr. Imtiaz Taj very humbly thanked the FAST officials for their hospitality and support. Also, they applauded and appreciated the efforts made by the team players.
