State Bank of Pakistan's MCQ Development Initiative

The State Bank of Pakistan partnered with Mera Maan Pvt. Ltd to lead a capacity building process for developing Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) to assess candidates' aptitude and knowledge for entry-level positions and lateral transfers.

The objective was to enhance the recruitment and lateral transfer procedures by creating a comprehensive set of MCQs. A team of 14 focal persons, representing seven specialist areas, played a crucial role in the development and review of these MCQs, ensuring their integrity and quality.

Through a series of Zoom sessions and a 2-day workshop, the focal persons received the necessary training and guidance to develop high-quality MCQs. Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to accuracy throughout the process were commendable.

This capacity building initiative marks a significant milestone in the State Bank of Pakistan's continuous efforts to enhance its recruitment procedures. The organization appreciates the valuable contributions of the focal persons and looks forward to the positive impact of the MCQ assessment process on identifying the most suitable candidates.

Exciting News from Mera Maan!

We are thrilled to share the successful completion of our intensive three-day Training of Master Trainers (TOMT) workshop, held at our very own Mera Maan Residential Training Center from May 8th to 10th, 2023!

Our residential center was buzzing with energy as we welcomed 32 esteemed participants - Directors, Assistant Directors, and Complaint Officers from the BISP regional offices across the four provinces, AJK, GB, and senior officials from the BISP headquarters. Their dedication and commitment made this training a truly enriching experience!

This dynamic workshop focused on equipping our master trainers with the skills to use the specially designed financial literacy handbook and manual to conduct impactful training sessions for BISP beneficiaries. They dove into the world of financial literacy through engaging simulations and mock sessions, growing and learning in a supportive environment.

We are proud to announce that this project is a landmark collaboration between Ernst and Young (EY) and Mera Maan, sponsored by the ever-supportive Karandaaz, and implemented for the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). This one-year project has set a solid foundation for the financial literacy of millions of BISP beneficiaries.

Stay tuned as we roll out this financial literacy training to millions of BISP beneficiaries, taking another step forward in empowering our communities!

Director Program, Mera Maan Pvt. Ltd, Shahzad Mansoor, facilitated a 2-day workshop for USAID-ERDA in . The workshop titled “Brainstorming Workshop on Institutional Assessment and Restructuring of the Farm Service Centres in KPK” was held on March 20-21, 2023. The workshop focused on how to make the Government supported Farm Services Centers more effective, efficient, and entrepreneurial. Excellent outputs emerged as a result of this engagement, which will factor into future programming.

Mera Maan CEO Shahnaz Kapadia Rahat conducted a 2-day faculty development workshop on 'Learner-Centered Curriculum and Pedagogy' for faculty at Balochistan Civil Services Academy, Government of Balochistan. The workshop was funded by the UNDP Regional Coordinator's office. The focus of the workshop was on ways to make senior and mid-level government officials more experiential, participatory and learner centered.
The workshop was held at BUITEMs University, Quetta.

Mera Maan Pvt Ltd, on behalf of MF Strategy, a management consulting firm based in Switzerland, is conducting a study called the 'Landscape and segmentation of women-led businesses in Pakistan.’
MMPL has executed Focus Group discussions (FGDs) with the women entrepreneurs within this project's scope to review the Landscape of the women entrepreneur ecosystem and to identify the difficulties they face in managing their businesses. These FGDs were conducted in Islamabad and 4 Provincial Headquarters, i.e., Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta.
