CUI Celebrates 75 Years of Pakistan-China Friendship with a Vibrant Musical Fusion
ISLAMABAD, May 21, 2026: COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) resonated with beautiful melodies today as the campus hosted a spectacular Pakistan-China Musical Show. Organized by the China Study Centre (CSC) under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sohail Asghar (Incharge Islamabad Campus), the event commemorated a historic milestone: 75 years of enduring diplomatic and cultural ties between Pakistan and China.
The event brought together students, faculty, and distinguished guests to celebrate the rich artistic heritage of both nations under the theme of "Trust, Friendship, and Support."
The highlight of the afternoon was a mesmerizing performance by the acclaimed Chinese musician and artist, Mr. Zhang Jian Ya, whose mastery of traditional music captivated the audience.
Adding to the cultural richness, the event also proudly showcased traditional Pakistani music. In a brilliant display of local talent, CUI students took to the stage to perform a series of classical and contemporary Pakistani musical pieces. The harmony of traditional Pakistani rhythms playing alongside Chinese melodies created a unique, cross-cultural symphony that perfectly symbolized the deep-rooted brotherhood between the two nations.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Sadia Haider (Incharge China Study Center) highlighted that music is a universal language that transcends borders. Events like these play a vital role in building cultural bridges, fostering youth diplomacy, and keeping the spirit of the Pakistan-China friendship alive in the hearts of the younger generation.
The China Study Centre extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the performers, organizers, and attendees who made this celebration a resounding success.
