Representing Team ASME were Vice President Muhammad Saboor and Ambassador Safwan Hanif engaged with a vibrant community of innovators, developers, and tech enthusiasts.

We are especially grateful to ASME for recognizing our efforts and dedication. Winning this prestigious award for two consecutive years makes this achievement even more meaningful and motivating for our entire team.

IIUI Mechanical Engineering Secures Back-to-Back Success at ASME UET-Peshawar EFx 2026

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the International Islamic University Islamabad has secured notable recognition at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers UET-Peshawar EFx Competitions-2026, marking the second consecutive year of success for the university at this international platform.

Mr. Khayyam Ayub, a student of BS Mechanical Engineering and President of the ASME IIUI Student Section, represented the university at the EFx event hosted by University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar. Competing among participants from various institutions, he secured a technical position in the Oral Competition and achieved 3rd position in the Elevator Pitch Competition. His performance earned him a cash award of 175 US dollars.

EFx events, organized by ASME chapters worldwide, provide opportunities for students and early-career engineers to engage in technical discourse, professional development activities, and competitive challenges. The platform encourages innovation, communication skills, and networking among engineering communities.

The achievement reflects the growing academic and professional engagement of IIUI students in international forums. Faculty Supervisor of the ASME IIUI Student Section, Dr. Engr. Asad Asghar Janjua, was acknowledged for his guidance and mentorship in preparing students for such competitive platforms.

Alhamdulillah! We are proud to announce that our chapter president, Khayyam Ayub, has achieved remarkable success at ASME EFx UET Peshawar 2026. He secured a technical position in the Oral Competition and earned 3rd position in the Elevator Pitch Competition, winning $175.

We sincerely appreciate the ASME UET Peshawar management and the organizing team for their professionalism and dedication in hosting such an outstanding event. Special thanks to Dr. Alam Zaib Khan, Chapter Advisor, for his welcoming and encouraging support, and to Muhammad Yousaf, Chapter President, and his team for organizing an exceptional EFx event that continues to raise the bar for excellence.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Asad Asghar Janjua , faculty advisor, for constantly motivating Khayyam to push beyond his limits and achieve his best.

Chapter 3: The Closing Ceremony

The event concluded on a high note as the closing ceremony marked the culmination of an intense and inspiring engineering competition. After careful evaluation and deliberation, the winning teams were announced, celebrating innovation, technical excellence, and outstanding problem-solving skills displayed throughout the event.

To recognize the collective effort behind the success of Blueprint Battles 2.0, certificates were distributed among the winning teams, our respected judges, and the dedicated ASME IIUI cabinet members whose commitment and leadership made the event possible.

With the stage set, the real challenge began as participants stepped forward to present their prototypes, explaining design logic, functionality, and real-world applications behind their concepts. Each presentation reflected weeks of learning, problem-solving, and engineering mindset.

Our distinguished judges carefully evaluated every project assessing innovation, technical accuracy, feasibility, and clarity of presentation. Insightful questions, critical analysis, and constructive feedback turned each presentation into a valuable learning experience.

This was more than a competition, it was a true test of engineering thinking under pressure, where ideas were challenged and excellence stood out.

The arena was set as participants from multiple batches and disciplines arrived with passion, precision, and purpose. Each team showcased their innovative blueprints and engineering concepts, transforming ideas into structured designs through creativity and technical depth.

The excitement peaked with the arrival of our esteemed panel of judges, whose presence added insight, experience, and a spirit of healthy competition to the event. With innovation on display and evaluation underway, Blueprint Battles 2.0 officially commenced where ideas met engineering excellence.

ASME IIUI Wins 3rd Position at NUST EFx-2025

ASME IIUI celebrated a proud achievement as its Section President, Khayyam Ayub (BS Mechanical Engineering, F-22), secured 3rd position at the NUST H-12 ASME EFx Oral Technical Competition, earning a $200 award. The chapter also acknowledged the support of Faculty Supervisor Dr. Engr. Asad Asghar Janjua for his continuous encouragement.
