On the second day of a soul-stirring art exhibition at the PNCA, Parliamentary Secretary for Federal Education and Professional Training Ms. Rabia Naseem Farooqi and Parliamentary Secretary for Culture Ms. Farah Naz Akbar came together to honor the exceptional creativity of female students with hearing impairments. The visit commenced with a warm welcome from the Director General of Special Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training Pakistan, who briefed the delegates on the department’s tireless dedication to nurturing the specialized vocational talents and artistic skills of these remarkable students.

Nestlé Pakistan Conducts Follow-Up Visits to Special Education Centres
Islamabad ,January 28, 2026:

Following a consultative meeting held a day earlier at the Directorate General of Special Education (DGSE), a delegation from Nestlé Pakistan (Lahore) conducted follow-up visits to selected special education centres to assess on-ground needs and explore avenues for future collaboration.
The visits were carried out at the National Training Centre for Special Persons (G-9/2) and the National Special Education Centre for Physically Handicapped Children (G-8/4). Needs assessments were conducted based on detailed discussions with faculty members and allied professionals.
The orientation visits were led by Director NTCSP, Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed, and Officer In-Charge NSEC for PHC, Ms. Farah Hafeez, who briefed the visiting team on the service delivery mechanisms of their respective institutions. The Nestlé delegation toured classrooms and facilities and engaged in interactive sessions with students with special needs.
Souvenirs prepared by students were presented to the Nestlé Pakistan team on behalf of the Director General, DGSE. The visiting representatives appreciated the ongoing revamping initiatives under the Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training (MoFE&PT) and expressed their commitment to continued CSR engagement with DGSE. Discussions are moving towards the signing of a Letter of Understanding (LoU), followed by a structured series of training programs at DGSE service delivery centres, to be coordinated by the National Institute of Special Education (NISE), DGSE.

Nestlé Pakistan Explores Potential Collaboration with Directorate General of Special Education

Tuesday ,January 27, 2026:
On the kind referral from the worthy Federal Secretary, Federal Education & Professional Training (FE&PT), representatives of Nestlé Pakistan from Lahore, visited the Directorate General of Special Education and held a detailed consultative meeting with the Director General, Special Education.
During the meeting, the DG shared an overview of ongoing initiatives and interventions across special education institutions.
In response, Nestlé Pakistan proposed potential areas of collaboration, particularly in the domain of teacher and parent training focused on nutrition awareness, food management, and healthy meal planning for children with special needs, especially within low-income contexts.
Nestlé also proposed possible support for capacity building and infrastructure enhancement, including the establishment of nutrition resource rooms equipped with educational aids.
With regard to extracurricular development, while play areas are already being developed through existing initiatives, it was discussed that Nestlé could consider supporting the provision of adaptive and specialized play equipment.
It was mutually agreed that Nestlé’s team would conduct follow-up visits to selected special education centers to better assess on-ground needs and inform future planning. Accordingly, visits to two SE centers National Special Education Centre For Physically Handicapped Children ,G-8/4 and National Training Centre for Special Persons G-9/2 have been scheduled for tomorrow.
The onsite visits will further augment setting the direction of collaboration between Nestle Pakistan and DGSE.
