The Department of Gender and Women’s Studies strongly condemns the reported missile attack in Minab, Iran, which claimed the lives of 165 schoolgirls. The targeting of children and educational spaces is a grave violation of human rights and international humanitarian norms.

We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and stand in solidarity with all those affected. We call for accountability, protection of children in conflict zones, and an urgent commitment to peace and justice.

The campaign focuses on the escalating issue of online abuse, cyber harassment, and other forms of digital violence that women and girls face. It calls for strengthening laws, improving platform safety, and providing better support to survivors.
