Certificates and shields distribution ceremony for successful students of the internship program of FM Radio 92.6 held at Vice Chancellor secretariat.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Tauha Hussain Ali Vice-Chancellor Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, spoke to the students who had completed the internship, sharing insights into the historical significance of radio. He emphasized that radio has traditionally been regarded as the cornerstone of information dissemination and authentic resource of correct language in terms of purity and pronunciation. Radio has been instrumental in delivering international and local news, along with a variety of entertainment programs; he stated.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Tauha Hussain Ali shared his personal experience as a news presenter and hosting youth programs on Radio Pakistan. He underscored the evolution and modernization of radio in response to changing times. Consequently, Mehran University has actively embraced innovation through its campus FM radio programs since its establishment. Dr. Tauha Hussain Ali emphasized that the primary goal of MUTE FM's internship program is to provide students with an educational and hands-on-training environment where they can familiarize themselves with the handling equipment, tools, and techniques of broadcasting. He encouraged students to utilize their skills in their presentations.
Expressing appreciation for the students' hard work and dedication during the internship at MUTE FM Radio, the Vice Chancellor listened to their experiences and sought their advice to enhance future internship programs. The ceremony was also attended by MUTE FM Radio Director General Prof. Dr. Faisal Karim Shaikh and Station Manager Saqib Abro. Notably, 30 students from various disciplines such as telecommunication engineering, software engineering, computer science, and English language departments participated in this six-week internship program. They received training in program production, presentation, content writing, website development, mobile app, social media management, and graphics. These students also successfully completed their assigned projects in given time. Internship program was conducted under the supervision of Director of Technical Operations Dr. Badr Munir and Saqib Abro, who served as lead trainers.
