The college was established on 1960. The total area of the college is 47 acres. The hostel building Computer science department was established in 2000 and I.C.S.

The college was established on 1960 as Government Higher Secondary School, Jaranwala in the building of Municipal Primary School, Jaranwala. In 1964, the first phase of the present college building was completed and college was shifted in its own building in December, 1964. Later on, the college was upgraded to degree science college in 1967 and two class rooms three laboratories and one lecture theater was constructed on the first floor on the existing building. The hostel building was constructed in 1974 which accommodates 52 students. This hostel building comprises 26 room including dormitories / cubicles. classes started in the college to provide computer education at inter level to the students of the college. M.A. Block was constructed in 2005. The building of this M.A. Block was meant for four post graduate disciplines. The classes of M.A. English and M.A. Islamiat were started in 1998. In 2010, with the approval of Punjab government I.Com. programme was launched to impart education in the commerce field. The academic and co-curricular activities are being carried out under the guidance and supervision of the worthy members of the teaching staff during the whole academic session. All the national days are observed with great spirit and enthusiasm. The college participates in Hockey, Football, Lawn Tennis, Cricket, Kabaddi, Volly ball, Debates and Seerat conferences etc.

Today, an Anti-smog Awareness Seminar was organized at Govt. Graduate College, Jaranwala. It aimed at educating about the harmful effects of smog and pollution. Experts of the subject like Prof. Ammar Munir, Prof. Ali Babur ( Nazm-e-Taqreebat), Prof. Dr. Abdul Razaaq alongwith Dr. Tariq Iqbal discussed its causes, risks and preventive measures. Students were encouraged to plant trees and reduce vehicle emissions.
The principal of the college, Dr. Asghsr Ali Bloch, delivered an informative address on the major causes and remedies of smog. He explained that vehicle emissions, industrial smoke , burning of garbage and crop residue , and excessive use of fossil fuels are major causes of smog. He suggested remedies like planting more trees, avoiding burning of waste and crop residue can make the situation better. At the end, students promised to play constructive role to tackle this problem.

A prestigious ceremony was held today at Food Studio, Jaranwala, to commemorate the successful completion of 𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎+ 𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 at 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞, 𝐉𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐚.

The completion of our very first batch of BS Economics (2022-2026) was dedicated to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hussain, a distinguished professor who served the Department of Economics, Govt. Graduate College Jaranwala from 1960 to 1970. During his tenure, he made a valuable contribution to the academic development of the college by adding 500+ foreign books on Economics to the college library, enriching its resources for students and teachers of coming generations.

🌺 The Department of Economics, Govt. Graduate College Jaranwala, hosted a memorable Graduation Ceremony, celebrating the academic journey, achievements, and accomplishments of its graduating students (First Batch). The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Asghar Ali (Chief Guest/Principal) and Prof. Aman Ullah Khan (Guest of Honour/Ex-Principal). BS Economics program was started by Prof. Dr. Asghar Ali (Principal) in 2022.

🌺The ceremony formally commenced as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour entered the Seminar Hall accompanied by Prof. Dr. Abdul Raziq (Vice Principal), Mr. Syed Riaz-ul-Hassan Rizvi (HOD Economics), Prof. Sheikh Muhammad Afzal (Ex BS Coordinator), Dr. Fozia Ashar (BS Coordinator-Female), faculty members and newly graduating students. The ceremony was held to recognise the academic and co-curricular accomplishments of the graduating students and to inspire them to carry their learning, confidence, and aspirations into the next phase of their lives. It was more than a celebration of academic success; it was an acknowledgment to the dedication of the students, the guidance of their teachers, and the opportunities provided by the Department throughout their academic journey.

🌺 The ceremony provided a distinguished platform to acknowledge and celebrate the academic excellence of the graduating class. Students who demonstrated outstanding performance throughout their academic journey were honoured with medals in recognition of their achievements, listed as:

Over the course of their academic journey, the students of the Department were provided with opportunities that extended beyond conventional classroom learning, enabling them to develop practical, research-oriented, and professional skills. The department organised the 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐂’𝟐𝟔), providing students with a national platform for academic engagement and intellectual exchange. Recognising the importance of quantitative and analytical tools in contemporary Economics, students were also trained in widely used 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞, including R-Programming, SPSS, Minitab, Stata, and EViews. They were encouraged to undertake high-quality research under the supervision and guidance of professors, while selected students also had the opportunity to benefit from co-supervision by professors from 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, adding a valuable global dimension to their research experience. Students were further given opportunities to represent their institution at various 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 and academic platforms, both online and on campus, while their participation in numerous national and international 𝐰𝐞𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐬, 𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐬 was actively encouraged.

فرسٹ ایئر انٹرمیڈیٹ پروگرامز کی اورینٹیشن تقریب

آج گورنمنٹ گریجوایٹ کالج جڑانوالہ میں انٹرمیڈیٹ پروگرامز کے فرسٹ ایئر کے نئے طلباء کے لیے ایک پُروقار اورینٹیشن تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ تقریب میں پرنسپل کالج ہذا اور معزز پروفیسر صاحبان نے نئے آنے والے طلباء کو ادارے میں خوش آمدید کہا۔
تقریب کا باقاعدہ آغاز تلاوتِ کلامِ پاک سے ہوا، جس کی سعادت پروفیسر الطاف صاحب نے حاصل کی۔
تقریب کی نظامت کے فرائض چیئرمین ایڈمشن کمیٹی، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شکیل احمد خاں نے انجام دیے۔
تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے پرنسپل کالج ہذا، جناب پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اصغر علی بلوچ اور وائس پرنسپل، جناب پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالرزاق گوندل نے نئے طلباء کو ادارے میں خوش آمدید کہا۔ انہوں نے طلباء کو کالج کے نظم و ضبط، تعلیمی ماحول، اخلاقی اقدار اور ادارے کی شاندار ماضی کی روایات سے آگاہ کیا اور انہیں اپنی تعلیمی زندگی میں محنت، باقاعدگی، نظم و ضبط اور مثبت کردار کو اپنانے کی تلقین کی۔
اس موقع پر تمام معزز پروفیسر صاحبان نے نئے طلباء کے لیے نیک خواہشات کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے ان کے کامیاب تعلیمی سفر اور روشن مستقبل کے لیے اپنی دعاؤں اور نیک تمناؤں کا اظہار کیا۔

گورنمنٹ گریجویٹ کالج جڑانوالہ میں 6 ستمبر، یومِ دفاعِ پاکستان کے موقع پر ایک باوقار تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ تقریب کی صدارت کالج کے پرنسپل ڈاکٹر اصغر علی بلوچ نے کی، جبکہ جناب محسن مظہر، چیف آفیسر میونسپل کمیٹی جڑانوالہ نے بطور مہمانِ خصوصی شرکت کی۔ تقریب کی نظامت کے فرائض پروفیسر علی بابر نے انجام دیے۔

تقریب کا بنیادی مقصد طلبہ کو یومِ دفاع کی تاریخی اہمیت سے آگاہ کرنا، ملکی دفاع کے لیے قوم اور افواجِ پاکستان کی قربانیوں کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرنا اور نوجوان نسل میں حب الوطنی، قومی یکجہتی، نظم و ضبط اور ذمہ داری کا شعور پیدا کرنا تھا۔ اس مناسبت سےجناب احمد حسن، لیکچرار سیاسیات نے اپنے خطاب میں یومِ دفاع کے تاریخی اور قومی پہلوؤں کو اجاگر کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کسی بھی ملک کی مضبوطی کے لیے قومی اتحاد، سیاسی استحکام، قانون کی پاسداری اور ذمہ دار شہری کردار بنیادی اہمیت رکھتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے طلبہ پر زور دیا کہ وہ تعلیم حاصل کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ ملک کے ذمہ دار اور باکردار شہری بننے کی کوشش کریں۔ڈاکٹر حسن عباس، بی ایس کوآرڈینیٹر نے اپنے خطاب میں نوجوانوں کے کردار پر خصوصی توجہ دی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان کا مستقبل نوجوان نسل سے وابستہ ہے، اس لیے طلبہ کو اپنی تعلیم، کردار سازی، مہارتوں اور مثبت سوچ پر توجہ دینی چاہیے۔ انہوں نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ جدید دور میں قومی ترقی کے لیے علم، تحقیق، ٹیکنالوجی، محنت اور خود انحصاری ناگزیر ہیں۔
مہمانِ خصوصی جناب محسن مظہر، چیف آفیسر میونسپل کمیٹی جڑانوالہ نے اپنے خطاب میں یومِ دفاع کی اہمیت کو سراہا اور وطن کے دفاع کے لیے قربانیاں دینے والے شہداء اور غازیوں کو خراجِ عقیدت پیش کیا۔ انہوں نے طلبہ کو تلقین کی کہ وہ اپنی صلاحیتوں کو مثبت مقاصد کے لیے استعمال کریں اور ملک کی ترقی میں اپنا کردار ادا کریں۔انہوں نے کہا کہ ایک مضبوط قوم صرف جذبات سے نہیں بلکہ اتحاد، نظم و ضبط، تعلیم، محنت اور ذمہ داری کے ذریعے تشکیل پاتی ہے۔ نوجوانوں کو چاہیے کہ وہ اپنی تعلیم اور کردار پر توجہ دیتے ہوئے ملک کی تعمیر و ترقی میں فعال کردار ادا کریں۔
صدرِ تقریب ڈاکٹر اصغر علی بلوچ، پرنسپل گورنمنٹ گریجویٹ کالج جڑانوالہ نے اپنے صدارتی خطاب میں یومِ دفاع کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کیا۔ انہوں نے شہداء اور غازیوں کی قربانیوں کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ان قربانیوں سے ہمیں حب الوطنی، عزم، حوصلے اور قومی یکجہتی کا درس ملتا ہے۔انہوں نے طلبہ پر زور دیا کہ وہ اپنی تمام تر توجہ تعلیم، تحقیق اور کردار سازی پر مرکوز کریں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ملک کا روشن مستقبل ایسے نوجوانوں سے وابستہ ہے جو علم و ہنر سے آراستہ، باکردار، محنتی اور ذمہ دار ہوں۔
تقریب کا اختتام اس عزم کے ساتھ ہوا کہ پاکستان کی آزادی، خودمختاری اور سلامتی کے تحفظ کے لیے ہر فرد اپنے حصے کی ذمہ داری پوری کرے گا۔ شرکاء نے شہداء اور غازیوں کو خراجِ عقیدت پیش کیا اور پاکستان کی ترقی، خوشحالی، استحکام اور سلامتی کے لیےدعا کی۔
اس موقع پر کالج میں پرچم کشائی کی پُروقار تقریب بھی منعقد کی گئی۔ پرنسپل ڈاکٹر اصغر علی بلوچ اور مہمانِ خصوصی جناب محسن مظہر نے قومی پرچم لہرایا، جبکہ اس موقع پر قومی ترانے کے ساتھ وطنِ عزیز کی سلامتی، استحکام اور خوشحالی کے لیے خصوصی دعائیں کی گئیں۔
بعد ازاں یومِ دفاع کی مناسبت سے کیک کاٹنے کی تقریب بھی منعقد ہوئی۔ پرنسپل، مہمانِ خصوصی، اساتذہ اور دیگر شرکاء نے مل کر کیک کاٹا اور شہداء و غازیوں کو خراجِ عقیدت پیش کیا۔

🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰 آج گورنمنٹ گریجوایٹ کالج جڑانوالہ میں جشنِ یومِ آزادی کی ایک پروقار تقریب منعقد ہوئی۔ تقریب میں پرنسپل پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اصغر علی بلوچ،اساتذہ کرام اور دیگر سٹاف نے بھرپور قومی جذبے کے ساتھ شرکت کی۔خوبصورت قومی لباس میں ملبوس اساتذہ نے سینوں پر حب الوطنی کے بیجز اور سٹیکرز سجائے اور پرنسپل جناب پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اصغر علی بلوچ کی قیادت میں سبز ہلالی پرچم کی چھاؤں تلے وطن سے محبت اور اس کے دفاع کے عزم کا اظہار کیا۔ اس موقع پر اس عزم کا بھی اعادہ کیا گیا کہ نئی نسل کو پاکستان سے محبت، قومی یکجہتی اور ذمہ داری کا شعور دیا جائے گا۔ وائس پرنسپل پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالرازق نے وطن کی حرمت کو عارضی زندگی پر ترجیح دیتے ہوئے دشمنانِ ارض پاک کیخلاف ڈٹ کر یک جہتی اور اتحاد کے ناقابلِ شکست ہتھیاروں سے لڑنے کی حکمتِ عملی کو اپنانے پر زور دیتے ہوئے ملکی دفاع کو ناقابلِ مفتوح قرار دیا۔ طلبہ و طالبات نے پوسٹر اور پینٹنگ کے مقابلے میں قومی وقار اور تفاخر کو اجاگر کیا۔ پروگرام کی نقابت ناظمِ تقریبات جناب پروفیسر علی بابر نے کی جبکہ تلاوت کلامِ پاک کی سعادت پروفیسر الطاف کے حصے میں آئی جبکہ نعتِ رسولِ مقبول ﷺ پروفیسر عبدالسلام اعوان نے پیش کی۔بی ایس اکنامکس کی طالبات نے خوبصورت ملی نغمہ پیش کیا۔ آخر میں حسبِ روایت کیک کاٹ کر آزادی کی نعمت کا شکرانہ ادا کیا گیا۔
