_CVAS Writer's and Reader's Club_ is one of the distinguished societies working actively to improve the reading and writing skills of the students. It helps students to apply their literary abilities in the scientific domain too.
In this campaign, the society organized a healthy workshop on *The Art of Scientific Writing* under the guidance of Ms.Sidra Jamil, convener CWRC. Almost thirty students were engaged in this activity zealously. The first session of this activity was held in the Conference Hall, CVAS Jhang on 29 June 2022.
The chief guest of the event was Principal CVAS Jhang Pro. Dr. Muhammad Fiaz Qamar. The guest speaker of the session was Lecturer Microbiology Dr. Aman Ullah Khan, who has published almost thirty articles in various international journals.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the enlightenment of hearts with the recitation of Na'at. Then, convener CWRC Ms. Sidra Jamil gave introductory remarks on the inevitability of writing skills in the career of medical students. After that, the resource person of the workshop Lecturer Dr. Aman Ullah Khan introduced scientific writing. He explained different types of scientific writing, selection of topic conducting research on it, tips to write a peer review article, ethical values of writing, and effective citation and referencing.
The workshop ended with the concluding remarks from Principal CVAS Jhang, Pro. Dr. Fiaz Qamar. He urged the students to dig into such activities and nourish their skills for future development.
