🌟 Strengthening Academia–Industry Linkages at University of Kamalia 🌟
University of Kamalia proudly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ethanol Distillery & Carbon Dioxide Unit of Hunza Sugar Mills (Pvt.) Ltd., District Faisalabad, on 27th April 2026 at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat.
The MoU was formally signed by Worthy Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Yasir Nawab, on behalf of University of Kamalia, and Mr. Sheikh Muhammad Usman, General Manager (Distillery), Hunza Sugar Mills (Pvt.) Ltd., marking an important step toward strengthening academia-industry collaboration .
This strategic partnership aims to promote internships, industrial visits, joint research, technical learning, student placements, faculty exposure to industrial processes, applied research, innovation, and skill development in areas such as ethanol distillery operations, carbon dioxide production, industrial safety, energy efficiency, process optimization, and sustainable industrial operations .
Through this collaboration, our students and faculty will gain valuable practical exposure to modern industrial systems including Extra Neutral Ethyl Alcohol (E.N.A.) production, Liquefied Carbon Dioxide processes, Biogas generation, Captive Power Generation, Quality Control Systems, and advanced industrial utilities.
This initiative reflects the visionary leadership of our Worthy Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Yasir Nawab, who strongly believes in creating meaningful partnerships that bridge academia with industry and open new avenues for research, innovation, and employability for our students.
