School of Business Studies, IBA Karachi (IBA-SBS) concluded the SBS Launchpad program for the new undergraduate cohort with a special “Building Your SBS Journey” session followed by a symbolic group picture forming SBS 29.

The session began with a warm welcome by the Office of Undergraduate, SBS, led by Dr. Kanza Sohail Khanani, Director Undergraduate Programs, SBS, along with staff members Sadia Sheikh and Anum Jawaid, who guided students through academic policies and shared insights about life at SBS. Dr. Sahar Awan, Chairperson of the Management Department, addressed the students by sharing valuable advice on how to prepare themselves for the academic and professional journey ahead. She also highlighted the scope of the Management Department and encouraged students to reach out to her for any queries or guidance. Dr. Sana Tauseef, Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), spoke to the students about the importance of maintaining high academic standards and continuous improvement. She apprised them of the working of QEC in ensuring quality education, feedback mechanisms available and the role of the students.

The day concluded with a memorable moment as students came together for a group photograph spelling out SBS 29 — symbolizing the beginning of an exciting and transformative chapter. The ground setting and preparations for this formation were skillfully led by our talented students Muhammad Bilal Fatani and Muhammad Mahad Gadit.

The excitement of the SBS Launchpad Program 2025 kept building as our new undergraduate cohort engaged in a round of interactive team activities designed to spark creativity and connection.

The students faced challenges that pushed them to think on their feet—solving riddles, cracking codes, and completing quick tasks that tested both teamwork and resourcefulness. The city campus came alive with energy as groups raced against time, cheered each other on, and celebrated small wins together.

What made the day truly special was the spirit of collaboration—students from diverse backgrounds coming together, discovering common ground, and creating memories.

The SBS Launchpad continues to show that at SBS, learning begins with community, curiosity, and plenty of fun!

As part of the SBS Launchpad Program 2025, the incoming SBS undergraduate cohort took part in a series of fun and interactive icebreaking activities designed by their seniors.

The highlight was an exciting scavenger hunt across the campus, where students explored key spots, worked in teams, and discovered their new academic home in a playful way. This not only helped them familiarize themselves with the campus but also created opportunities to bond with classmates and seniors alike.

The SBS Launchpad Program Kicks Off at IBA Karachi - School of Business Studies!

The SBS Launchpad Program officially commenced on August 19, 2025, at the City Campus of IBA Karachi. The event marked a warm welcome for the incoming undergraduate students of the School of Business Studies (SBS).

The new cohort was greeted Dr. S. Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director of IBA Karachi, Dr. Abdullah Zafar Sheikh, Dean of SBS, and Dr. Kanza Sohail, Director of Undergraduate Programs at SBS. The chairpersons also addressed the students, sharing their insights and extending their support for the academic journey ahead.

The Launchpad Program aims to orient new SBS students with the academic environment, values, and expectations at IBA, setting the tone for a transformative learning experience.
