From her early days at Aga Khan University to becoming its first graduate to qualify as an ophthalmologist, Dr Amyna Sultan, OBE, has dedicated her career to restoring sight and improving lives. Her contributions to healthcare, particularly in Papua New Guinea, have earned her international recognition, including an Order of the British Empire (OBE).

Her generosity has made possible the Vision Care Programme at the Aga Khan Hospital for Women, bringing comprehensive eye care closer to communities that need it most. From routine eye examinations and early diagnosis to advanced imaging and cataract surgery, this programme is helping women access quality care under one roof.

Thank you, Dr Sultan, for your generosity, your continued commitment to AKU, and for setting such an inspiring example for our alumni community.
