Transforming Business for People & Planet — A Conference to Remember!

The School of Business Studies at IBA Karachi proudly hosted the IBA SBS 4th International Conference 2025, under the theme “Transforming Business for People & Planet.”

The two-day event featured:

Opening remarks by Dr. S Akbar Zaidi (Executive Director, IBA), Dr. Abdullah Zafar Sheikh (Dean & Conference Chair), and Dr. Aitzaz Ahsan Alias Sarang (Conference Convener).

Insightful keynote addresses by Dr. Victoria Hurth (Independent Pracademic & Fellow CISL), Prof. Dr. Marie-Claire Cordonier Segger (Chair in Sustainable Development Law & Policy, University of Cambridge), and Dr. Yasin Rofcanin (Professor, University of Bath & Co-Director, Future of Work Research Centre).

A dynamic panel discussion on Pakistan’s Critical Need for Climate Finance: Mobilizing the Private Sector with top leaders from HBL, SECP, PSX, and NCGCL, moderated by Dr. Irum Saba (Associate Professor of Finance, SBS IBA & Director CIEF.

Over 140+ research papers and case studies were presented in the fields of Finance, Marketing, Management, Accounting, Law, and Case Study, fostering vibrant academic discourse and knowledge sharing.

From inspiring discussions and technical sessions to impactful networking and collaboration, the conference brought together scholars, industry leaders, and students from across the country — driving vital conversations on sustainability, innovation, and responsible business.
