The department of Education is among the largest departments of University of Karachi and also the main discipline in the field of social sciences under the umbrella of Faculty of Arts, University of Karachi. The main goal of the department is to prepare and equip the new generation to meet the current needs of the job market and to update their knowledge in the field of Education. The department
considers also facilitating its students to meet the challenges of Science and Technology in the subject of Education for national development and translate it in terms of basic ideology of Pakistan. This department further supports its students in adjusting themselves to the global society with the changing role in Education. The department expects from its students a productive role in educational leadership & administration, creative thoughts as educator and innovative approaches with techniques and materials in Education.
