Zahoor Hussain Ameer, alumnus of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (Batch 2012) and former faculty member of the Civil Engineering Department - SSUET , has been appointed as Assistant Professor at Minot State University, USA.

Hailing from Gilgit Baltistan, his journey reflects strong academic dedication and professional excellence in civil engineering, marking a significant achievement on the international stage.

This milestone highlights the global reach and impact of SSUET graduates in higher education and research.

Spotlight on Excellence: Engr. Ayan Raza, Structural Expert & Junior Lecturer 🌟

Sir Syed Times is proud to spotlight Engr. Ayan Raza, a key member of our Civil Engineering faculty, who has officially earned his MS in Civil Engineering (Structural) with an outstanding grade!

TEACHING & EDUCATION:

As a Junior Lecturer, Engr. Ayan is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of engineers, delivering lectures, preparing course materials, and guiding students through complex concepts like Non-linear Structural Behavior and Finite Element Analysis.
Beyond the lecture hall, Ayan is committed to the practical development, having successfully organized multiple events, conferences, workshops, trainings, and industrial visits. These initiatives bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world engineering practice

GROUNDBREAKING ACHIEVEMENTS:

Ayan’s passion for innovation is recognized nationally and locally:

• National Idea Bank Winner: Awarded by the Honorable President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi.
• Top 5 in Shell Tameer 2022 for sustainable innovation.
• PEC FYDP Grant Recipient for his final year project.
• Best Research Project award in the university.
• PEC X Aspire grant winner
• Top 25 in Prime Minister National Innovation Award (PMNIA)

RESEARCH & EXPERTISE:

His work focuses on sustainable construction, including researching concrete with recycled aggregates, plastic, and rubber waste, and publishing advanced analyses like his thesis on Bubble Deck Slabs after fire exposure. He has successfully published his work in international and world recognized journals.

📢 Sir Syed University Announces Office & Class Timings for Ramadan 2026 🌙

Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology has officially announced revised timings for the holy month of Ramadan.

🕒 Office Timings:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Without Break)

• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM (Without Break)

🎓 Morning Classes:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

🌆 Evening Classes:

• Monday – Friday: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM

All students, faculty, and staff are advised to follow the revised schedule during Ramadan.
