🎓 FYP Spotlight | IoT-Based VenoPulse System

The Department of Biomedical Engineering & Allied Health Sciences (BMEAHS), Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET), proudly presents the remarkable Final Year Project "IoT-Based VenoPulse System" developed by our talented students Rabia Abbas, Filza Zahid and Syed Hussain Abbas
Supervisored by Dr. Marium Raziq and Co-Supervisor by Prof. Dr. Sidra Abid Syed

The VenoPulse System represents an innovative integration of IoT, embedded systems, sensor technology, controlled thermal therapy, mechanical vibration, and near-infrared photobiomodulation into a multifunctional therapeutic prototype.

Throughout the project, the students transformed their academic knowledge into a practical biomedical engineering solution while addressing important challenges in electrical safety, system integration, signal reliability, calibration, closed-loop control, and prototype validation.

A particularly valuable aspect of their journey was their focus on patient and user safety, including the implementation of galvanic isolation between the heating stage and low-voltage control circuitry. Their exposure to standards such as ISO 13485 and IEC 60601-1 also helped them understand the difference between developing a functional prototype and designing a device suitable for regulated medical applications.

The department and chairperson proudly appreciates Rabia, Filza, and Syed Hussain for their dedication, teamwork, technical learning, and commitment to developing innovative biomedical solutions.
Their project demonstrates how Biomedical Engineering bridges engineering, technology, and healthcare to address real-world challenges.

👏 Congratulations to the entire team on successfully completing their Final Year Project! We wish them continued success in their professional journey and look forward to seeing them contribute to the future of healthcare technology.
