DESK (Digital Education Streaming for Pakistan) Vision and Mission is to transform existing educational curriculum delivery system into high quality digital content streaming by using Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), and to revolutionize teaching practices. DESK is developing an electronic repository of educational content as defined by the Pakistan National Curriculum for class
1 to 12. Our focus is twofold , first subject matter and second digital quality. It will be nation's largest bilingual electronic repository of educational content of its own kind. At DESK users can get subscription of different learning tools/modules such as; Video Lessons/ lectures (Consist of animations, graphics, audios, real time videos and voice-over), Video Solutions using digital writing (step by step solutions for the numerical questions and derivations in hand), Solution Notes (fully interactive flip-books), Time-phased-interactive Activities/ Assessment, Past Examinations Solved Papers (guided mechanism of answering the questions as per the education boards marking schemes),Tech-Books (a cross-platform compatible digital-book comprising of all above mentioned learning tools in one single application). Our developed educational content will not only increase the quality of education but also remove the barrier of irrelevant and out of date textbooks. It will facilitate both student and teacher communities and ultimately strengthen the teaching-learning process. This will also ensure having the BEST teacher for students every single day across Pakistan. Moreover our Activities/ Assessments modules will equipped the user with the proper transparent testing/evaluation system. In accumulation, our solution will provide support services to embed Blended and Flip-Learning to the existing education system. All the key stakeholders in the education system can get benefit.
