Board of Intermediate Education Karachi was established as separate entity in 1974 through the "Sindh Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education amendment act No. 20 of 1973. This Board has the power to organize, regulate, develop and control Intermediate Education. The controlling Authority of the Board is the Governor of Sindh or his nominee. The Chairman is the principal executive and acade

mic officer of the Board, while the Secretary is the in charge of the academic and administrative Sector and the Controller of Examinations is the In charge of the Examination Section. The above officers and the Audit officer are appointed by the Controlling Authority of the Board, while other officers are also appointed by the Board on the recommendation of the appointment Committee. In the year, 1974, there were only 17 officers and 113 officials, now we have 51 officers and 246 officials. With a view to performing various functions systematically there are Statutory and non-Statutory committees have been constituted.

The checking of SSC Part-I (Class IX) Mathematics answer scripts for the Annual Examination 2026 has officially started from today 25th August 2026

I would also like to clearly inform students that the Mathematics answer scripts are not being checked through the e-marking process. The checking is being carried out through manual checking

IX Annual Examination 2026 Assessment Update by Sir Muneeb

The assessment process for the IX General Groups has been completed. The copies have been checked and compiled, and the Board will now review the compiled data before proceeding with the result announcement.

For the IX Science Group, the complete English copies are to be submitted to the Board on Monday, 24 August 2026.

Regarding IX Physics, the copies being assessed through e-marking have most probably been checked. Meanwhile the IX Islamiat copies are still under checking.

The purpose of sharing this update is simply to keep you informed. Students are already seeing a lot of fake and unverified news on a daily basis, which creates unnecessary stress and confusion. That is why I prefer to share updates whenever I have reliable and relevant information.Students and parents, please stay relaxed and do not believe or spread unverified news.

The First Year Computer Science textbook is expected to be launched this year. Most probably the content of the First Year book will be based on the material finalized so far. There may be some minor changes which will be incorporated during the final approval and publication process.

As of now, the content that has been finalized is this. InshaAllah the effort is to start the publication process by the end of August or during September, after which the book should gradually become available in the market.

However, let’s see what the government finally decides.
