The Institutional Quality Assessment and Effectiveness (IQAE) Department at FAST-NUCES Karachi Campus successfully organized a Two-Day Faculty Training Program on August 11–12, 2026, for newly appointed faculty members. The program was designed to familiarize participants with the University's academic framework, institutional policies, research environment, administrative procedures, and quality assurance practices.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Memon, Campus Director, who highlighted the University's vision, academic structure, examination policies, and the importance of academic integrity and excellence. Dr. Fahad Samad, Assistant Professor and Head of the FAST School of Computing, delivered an inspiring keynote, encouraging faculty to embrace innovation, research, and continuous professional development. The Heads of Departments also shared valuable insights on academic expectations and career growth.
The training featured a series of interactive sessions on key institutional areas, including IQAE and quality assurance, academic regulations and examination policies, educational technologies, Human Resources policies, interdisciplinary research opportunities, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), laboratory course management, effective teaching practices, ORIC research support and funding opportunities, and classroom management and student motivation. These sessions were conducted by experienced faculty members and administrative leaders from across the University.
The program concluded successfully, equipping newly appointed faculty with essential knowledge, practical skills, and a clear understanding of institutional expectations. It reaffirmed FAST-NUCES Karachi Campus' commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, research, innovation, and the continuous professional development of its faculty.
