JSMU Participates in Sindh HEC Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Training
Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) actively participated in the one-day training on "Concepts and Framework of Outcome-Based Education (OBE)" organized by the Sindh Higher Education Commission (HEC), Government of Sindh, in collaboration with the Institute of Business Management (IoBM). The training was held on 17th June 2026 at the IoBM Amphitheatre Hall, Karachi, and focused on strengthening understanding of Outcome-Based Education, curriculum alignment, assessment strategies, and quality enhancement practices in higher education.
Representing JSMU at the training were Dr. Muhammad Waqas (Assistant Professor, IMT), Dr. Hina Gul Khatak (Assistant Director, QEC), Dr. Ghazala Noor Nizami (Additional Director, IPTR), and Dr. Tayyaba Akram (Lecturer, SIOHS), and Their participation reflected the university's commitment to professional development and academic quality enhancement.
The participation of JSMU faculty and quality assurance professionals demonstrates the university's ongoing efforts to strengthen Outcome-Based Education implementation, enhance teaching and learning practices, and align academic programs with national and international quality standards. Such initiatives play an important role in building institutional capacity and promoting excellence in higher education.
