Stop Open Waste Burning Protect Our Communities & Air!
Open waste burning poses severe, hidden dangers to our environment and public health. Through a special project by the Circular Plastics Institute (CPI) which is an initiative of KSBL, supported by Engineering X (Royal Academy of Engineering, UK), and produced in collaboration with Urban Nerves. We have developed an animated video designed to raise vital awareness in communities where open waste burning is a regular practice.

Watch how small changes in how we handle waste can protect our families, our air quality and our neighbourhoods. This resource is also ideal for KSBL students to utilize in their Civic and Community Engagement Projects.

Good grades build a strong foundation. Success in business also depends on how you apply what you know and the character that guides your decisions.

Communicating clearly, solving problems, collaborating with others and adapting to change help you navigate real business challenges. Character-driven leadership means applying these skills with integrity, taking responsibility and earning the trust of others.

At KSBL, classroom discussions, group projects and experiences beyond the classroom give students opportunities to put knowledge into practice, strengthen their professional skills and develop as character-driven leaders.

When womenโ€™s voices shape the solutions, the solutions work.

, through its Punjab SDGs Unit and in collaboration with Planning & Development Board(P&D Board) and KSBL, is launching a new round of the ๐–๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง ๐„๐œ๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐œ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐…๐ข๐ง๐š๐ง๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐‹๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ (๐–๐„๐‹๐ƒ) Punjab Chapter, with three-day training sessions for young women in Bahawalpur and Lahore.

The programme began by listening. Focus Group Discussions with women micro-entrepreneurs, women in the informal economy and key service providers showed what holds women back and what helps them move forward. The new cohort will gain practical skills, knowledge and opportunities to lead economically, influence decisions and drive inclusive growth.

Stay tuned as we spotlight the learning journeys and aspirations of these women as they step towards shaping a more inclusive future.

Trust is earned through the commitments we honour, the responsibilities we fulfil and the consistency of our actions.

Who do we aspire to become, and how do our everyday choices reflect that commitment?

In his article for The Express Tribune, Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi, Rector, KSBL, explores how universities can develop character intentionally, beginning with the example set by those who lead, teach and serve.

Drawing on research from the Oxford Character Project, he outlines three connected ideas: BE clear about the person you aspire to become, KNOW yourself and others, and DO the everyday things that put your values into practice.

The article also proposes a personal constitution: a written commitment to the principles that guide us across our roles and the values we will not compromise for success.

KSBL hosted Justice (Retd.) Hasan Feroz (Chairman, Sindh Environmental Protection Tribunal) and Advocate Sheikh Saqib Ahmed (Advocate High Court, High Court Bar Association, Karachi) for an engaging discussion on "Fair Play for the Planet: Sustainability, Law, and Justice Today."

Designed for our BS-A&F and BS-IT&S students, the session highlighted the vital role of environmental regulations, corporate responsibility, and Character-Driven Leadership in shaping a sustainable future.
