From Busan streets to global perspectives 🇰🇷- Ayesha Lakhani, BS Media Studies
Hi, I’m Ayesha Lakhani and before coming to South Korea, I thought this journey would just be about studying abroad. But it turned out to be so much more than that.
It was about the little moments getting lost on the streets of Busan, to travel to different cities like Seoul, ulsan, gyeongju and Jeju, exploring Korean culture, trying new food, and meeting people from different countries, and learning how to be completely independent in a new country.
At Dongseo University, I didn’t just attend classes I experienced them. As a media student, I got to think creatively, explore new ideas, and see things from a global perspective. There were days I missed home, days I felt out of my comfort zone but those were the moments that helped me grow the most. And then there were the unforgettable parts meeting people from around the world, sharing stories, cultures, and laughter, and creating memories that don’t feel real until you look back at them.
SEP didn’t just change where I studied it changed how I see the world and myself and that’s something I’ll carry with me forever.
