On 13 April 1969, a new stage play, Daghabaaz, opened in the Adamjee Science College auditorium. Adapted from the French play The Liar, it’s a farce the main attraction of which was the popular TV team of Allan (Kamal Ahmed Rizvi) and Nanha (Rafi Khawar). Among them, Nanha was the darling of the crowd. But, according to a critic, the best performance in the play came from Nazir Hussaini, and “as a play Daghabaaz was a disappointment. The adaptation was poor and remained foreign to our cultural world.''
